Decorative layering would be keen to apply map detail to help void confusion regarding what is map and what is tokens.

I've found that certain tokens used to decorate a map can often be an issue when it comes to selecting pieces or simply needing to change small detail to represent damage/change/environmental changes/etc... Map Layering, Token Layering, GM Layering, are three beautiful layers that I do enjoy using, but I would appreciate perhaps a Token layer that acts as the map without the grid design being layered on top like its a movable area. This could help me void higher detail of my perception calls towards players and could give a more promising look... I'd want a wall that fills about a few grid blocks wide and far.... yet, with the grid on? Looks like a walk path... I believe a Decoration Layer, where it covers over the lines of the grid much like a token would, but, being so its on a separate layer section, would void being selected amoung a group of tokens if so was.
