Default tokens

Default tokens used to work wonders! If you resized a char and saved that token it'd come out that size. Now unless i turn the grid off completely it wont come out the right size.  Also It used to bring the tokens out to snape to the size of the grid. Which was useful. Now it doesn't do that at all comes out whatever small size it feels like it seems. :/ Is this being worked on or am i missing something?

So if you created a token in size 5ft and saved it, and then dragged it out to a 10ft grid, it would now be dragged in at half the size. Maybe that's the problem you're experiencing? In any case, I agree that there should be a setting somewhere where you can switch this behaviour.
Ah i see that's what it is. Yeah it'd be nice if their was a way to switch the settings.  Although it seems no matter what size we save them at it still comes out super tiny or just not the same size it was saved as. Weird.  Thanks for the help. ^^
Yeah always tiny. Am i the only one with this issue?

I know that if you're dragging and dropping a picture into roll20 and you hold down 'alt' while doing so, that picture will keep it's original dimensions. Holding 'alt' also works when you're resizing a token and you don't want it to automatically snap to a size that fits the grid. And lastly, if you're trying to place a token somewhere on a roll20 grid and you don't want it to snap to the grid (maybe you want to place the token right on top of a grid line) then you can do so by holding 'alt' as well. Alternatively, you could just right click the token, go to advanced, and select 'is drawing' which will make the token ignore the snap to grid features, but afterwards the game will no longer assign that token the HP bars and other features. Alt is the magic key! I think maybe that solves your issue?
I'm in DM mode trying to throw out saved resized char tokens and they seem to come out 1/4 the size of the grid. Not the 4 tile or the 6 or two or even the tile size but 1/4. this happens for all the players as well. they keep the details but not the sizes.  This was never an issue before the update.
The only time it seems to come out right without issue is when the grid is disabled. : /
It sounds as if your grid setup has been changed from default. In the top area the gear for Page Settings: Is Grid enabled and size = 1 unit, and above that Scale: 1 unit = 5ft? If you change one of those settings the other must change as well to keep the size of tokens scaling with the size of the grid.
Why should any of that matter? Shouldn't the tokens regardless stay the size you save them as and come out the same as they were before? That was always how it worked. Why would anyone want to change that?  Either way no matter the settings as long as there's a grid it comes out 1/4 the size little tiny half backed versions of what was saved. If we take out none saved tokens they're fine they snap to the grid. But if we try to take saved ones no matter what we save them at, big or small, they come out wonky.
The change is so that the token pops out at its saved size. A token saved at 5ft per unit on a 10 ft per unit map would pop out as a 5ftx5ft token, four of which you could fit into a 10 ft square.
Ok sky that's cool and all but i'm saving the token at reg size on the same map and it's not coming out right.  I just want to know if this issue is being worked on or not.

I just tried any number of variations of saving tokens at new sizes, and they all conform to the grid, regardless of the grid scale. An Ogre saved at 1x1 and 2x2 grid blocks always comes out filling that many squares, regardless of the number of feet assigned to a grid unit. Is this what you are used to seeing?
I'm not used to seeing this newest issue. It just showed up with the new update.  It seems to Happen regardless of what i do as long as there is a grid.  It seems to shrink it down to 1/4 the size. Doesn't even make sense..
I messed around with it some more. It seems if i save a char at my old settings (which were always fine before the update) at 2 meters. and the grid is at 0.5. It keeps opting to shrinking them. But if i change the grid to feet and make it 3 feet per unit and than save it and switch it over to the old one it snaps to the right size... -___-  but 6 feet to unit it bugs out. What gives?? why change this? Why can't i have whatever scale to meter i want and it save right like before?? :/ am i missing something?
Send me a join link and then promote me to GM once I've joined. I'll take a look at it for you since I can't seem to replicate what you're having an issue with either.
Sent you a link to a test game so you can see.
Please have an option to turn this feature on or off. I really did like how it worked before. If not no big deal i can work around it. Thank you for your time everyone.
