Giant Noob questions- attack macro for dnd 5e

Hi Guys, I've already had a look through a few guides and am genuinely stumped, was hoping this would be a quick answer for some of you. This is all for the dnd character sheets, 5e. Why aren't my attacks showing damage? If I click them directly from the sheet, they show the "to hit" roll, but not the resulting damage.
It sounds to me like you are using the 5e OGL character sheet.  If so, there are two things you can do: Change the character sheet to automatically roll attacks and damage. This is done is the Settings tab. Click the weapon again, but inside the chat log. By default only the attack is rolled. If you want to roll the damage hover over the name of the attack in the chat log until it turns red, and click it to roll the damage. Anything on the character sheet that turns red when you hover is a roll that you can use. For this character sheet, that feature carries over into the roll templates output by it as well.
Click on the attack name to roll the damage, it's a feature.
