Hello Roll20! I'm here to make an offer to anyone who's been interested in playing D&D but has perhaps felt a little overwhelmed, or can't get to a game store, or is just too shy and anxious to begin. I'm an experienced DM and experienced using of the in-browser virtual tabletop Roll20 and would like to extend an invitation to the aforementioned target audience to join myself and others like you for some games. If that sounds like something you'd like to try, read on! What can you expect from me? An experienced DM comfortable with everything from by-the-numbers to improv. A healthy sum of curated content, something for every level of experience (both player and character) Text-based gameplay. No worrying about talking over one another or hardware needed. Take your time to find your character's voice. Available most evenings between 6 and 10 PM EST. Tuesdays and Sundays I'm unavailable, as I DM a different group on one night and am a player on the other. Character creation assistance, or providing pre-generated ones. No previous experience or source books needed. Between the Roll20 Compendium and the stack of nerd tomes beside me, I can provide most details. Can handle groups of 3-5 with ease. Now, all of that said, I may be here to show folks a good time but the inevitable facts of life about D&D is you may find yourself in over your head, and you may die, and that's okay! I say this just to assure everyone that this is new player friendly but not insultingly kid's-gloves oriented. What do I expect from YOU? No explicit roleplaying. Since this is for new or shyer players, let's leave things at quick flirts with barmaids or barbarian hunks. Experienced players are welcome, but please keep in mind the spirit of this post and offer! Temper expectations accordingly! Come to play, have fun, and maybe even help. Please make a character that wants to adventure. Let me know if you can't come to a time you originally asked for so I can fill it, and have no hard feelings if you end up missing out. I've only got so many nights to work with, so no-shows might be left out pretty early. So how is all of this going to work? Simple! This post is to pander to interest. Hit me up via private messages or right here in this post, as we get enough people expressing interest in similar time slots, I'll push out something more formal, and we'll get everyone squared away.
