Wondering if anyone would perhaps be interested in a Mecha game in an original universe set long after nuclear war and other cosmic cataclysms led to the complete destruction of society. A world where background radiation, Dehydration, Starvation, Exposure, and Disease are as much a threat as warring City States, Raider hordes, A.I. Warmachines and other mercanaries as an intreped band of Mercs and Scavvers just try to make a living. Main gimmicks would be a huge emphasis on survival, this is a game where milliliters of water are kept track of, where you must weigh the risk of attacking an enemy stronghold for the handful of pre-war military rations that may be inside and where even using your 'Mech is a carefully calculated risk as you burn away precious nearly irreplaceable nuclear fuel. I'm open to other system suggestions though Shadowrun 4e/5e with some adjustments to vehicle rules feels like it would fit my idea for the setting very nicely. A bevy of rules for exotic weather conditions from desert heat, arctic winter, and nuclear fallout. As well as cybernetics and bio-augmentation to give a true Pilot an edge over his un-auged competition. as well of course as a wealth of seperate vehicle combat and pursuit systems and customization that is perfect for Mech building. There's even a highly fleshed out Hacking mechanic giving the potential for electronic warfare specialists. Finally the systems in regards to out-of-vehicle/Mech combat are very lethal making every encounter an extremely dangerous gamble. Only issue with this setting is the Fantasy elements such as mages, Orcs, dragons, etc. etc. but thankfully the system has a very modular design and removing these elements causes no real change in regards to balance or playability. Thoughts / Interest? If I can generate enough momentum I may create a Discord Server to further discuss things outside this forum.
