World of Darkness (Playing Mortals/hunters) Seeking Players!

What Lies Beneath is a World of Darkness campaign where the players will begin as normal everday people in the fictional city of Old Haven Vermont. Per the above teaser, paranormal occurances are on a rise in the city and the premise of the campaign is players founding a sort of impromptu hunter cell, to investigate and deal with the various threats as they present themselves. There will be a heavy emphasis on working together and the combat when it occurs will be short, brutal and utterly unforgiving. I'm not the type of storyteller to pride myself on killing players, however I'm not going to go out of my way to alter rolls or provide convenient means of escape. Actions have consequences. The game will be played weekly using Roll20 for the interface and Discord for voice. Currently only accepting players that are 18 or older who can consistently come to our friday evening games. (Game -may- be moved to Thursday evening.) Q. What are you looking for in terms of characters?A. I'm looking for realistic people. So not former special forces snipers, CIA counter insurgency operatives, all knowing paranormal investigators, or eccentric billionaires. Players are to be starting off as Mortals with no or limited knowledge of occult/the supernatural. (The occult skill still obviouly exists but think of this more as historical accounts and mythology etc.) I'd prefer to avoid anyone having a character who knows all about the supernatural and can readily identify threats and weaknesses. (The whole feeling and atmosphere that I'm going for with this game is the slow and steady descent into the darkness.)
Greetings, will this game be using the old World of Darkness, new World of Darkness, or Chronicles of Darkness rules?
Either New World of Darkness or Chronicles of darkness. The listing as been up for 5 days or so now and a lot of people don't have a ton of experience with Chronicls of Darkness, so once I have all 5 people that I want we'll decide between the two. Thanks!
I'd be interested in joining in, is there more information available on the game's premise? What time would you all be playing?
I haven't played WoD since the original, but I'd love to freshen up my knowledge and join the game.

Only Plus and Pro subscribers can make their games visible to the public ; by default a link such as https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/1234567/s ... is only visible to players already in the game. The best way to handle this situation is to create a Looking for Group listing ; even if you do not enable it for viewing in the LFG Directory you can share the link with others and have a separate Listing Discussion forum just for those potentially interested in your game. As a bonus, anyone who posts to your game's Listing Discussion forum will have a big blue button by their username and all a GM has to is click 'Invite to Game' and an invitation will be sent their way. I hope this helps, happy gaming! :)

Hey, I am definitely interested in playing. I have just discovered WoD after looking for some more realistic based RPG's and I stumbled across WoD content and just starting sorting through. I'm a complete noob to the system, started watching a YouTube campaign revolving around Sin Eaters to get a better grasp on the WoD system. Looking through all the different campaign options and lines, Hunter The Vigil stood out as the most of what I was looking for. I have a character in my head, roughly developed (I'll probably start practicing character creation on my own soon though) of what I would want to play and it seems in line of what you are asking for, realistic regular people who end up taking on more of the Supernatural world. I would really prefer if the games stayed on Friday Evenings though depending on time I should be able to make it either way, I do have a busy schedule and work a lot, evenings mostly open and will try and make it work. If you are willing to help a new guy learn the ropes and find enough people, please include me. TL:DR - I want to fucking play this game super bad.
Hello ! I would be interested in joining this game. When it would be played,as all the links I clicked on are not working ? Thanks
I'm interested as well, I love the core Chronicles of Darkness.
I'm a touch more than interested in this game, are you still looking for more people?
I'd be interested, space and time willing.
Sounds like a fun game. I have some experience playing table top games both irl and on roll20. I run a few games myself. I would be interested in playing a guy who is a homeless widower, and blames himself for his wife's death. He has a beat up old panel work van, and operates his locksmith business from it. He has only recently become homeless and is also living in the van. He has been attempting to drown his sorrows in alcohol but the weight of his guilt ridden conscious cannot be lifted. He has had no jobs for two weeks and drank himself out of money. He has been hungry for a couple days, and has all but given in to the temptation of using his skills in order to relieve himself of such limiting resources.
