Update: I got some feedback that the initial price was too high, so I've dropped it substantially. Wasn't trying to gouge; just don't know what the going rates are on Roll20! Now $10 / player / 4-hour session. If this post seems familiar, you aren't going crazy. My first one got zapped for not including all the necessary links and what have you. Apologies to those for whom this is a repeat. 30-year D&D veteran, BA in Creative Writing, former editor for two of the big five publishing houses in NY and London, TEFL certified teacher. I'd love to find a fun and creative group that appreciates collaborative storytelling and the amount of preparation I put into each session and the world as a whole. That said, I'm not a curmudgeony, railroady DM who forces you explore the delicate little sandcastle he's built or pouts if you decide to stomp all over it. I enjoy the creative side of DMing, so instead of presenting you with my precious sandcastle, I'll give you a sandbox with unlimited options. If you want to play a specific module, I won't just run the module, I'll slot it into an entire world, which will be your dangerous, magical, outrageous, stabby oyster. Before we roll any dice, I'll do a lot of listening. I want to know what you want to play, using a pre-campaign survey, a zero session, and ongoing feedback to inform the world we build together. In addition, if you are happy after the zero session and the first game session, I can put together a campaign bible to establish a baseline for what all PCs would know. It will include, but is not limited to, a world overview, brief timeline, any campaign-specific or homebrew rules, bios of key NPCs, descriptions of key locations, and a map ( sample campaign bible here ). Finally, if you are interested in having an immortalized record of our adventures, I can draft detailed, entertaining, appropriately epic writeups after every session ( sample adventure log here ). Player Experience: All levels welcome. I've shepherded dozens of new players into the game, and I've DMed for seasoned vets. System: I am most comfortable and experienced with D&D 5e, but I have experience with AD&D, 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0--as well as Call of Cthulhu, Star Wars, and Pathfinder. I live in the Eastern US time zone, though my schedule is very flexible, and I'll work to accommodate yours. Rates: Zero session: No charge Thereafter: $10 / 4-hour session / player; one-time $50 for campaign bible (optional); add $1 / session for write-ups (optional) Payment method: Paypal / session Roll20 Disclaimer: “This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of $10 / player / 4-hour session, payable via paypal before each session. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements." I won't make any outrageous promises, but I will promise you that you'll get my best effort at all times. Thanks! Brian
