COMPLETELY new player, Looking for my first game.

Hey there; I created my first character and I took a read through the tutorials on how to control Roll20, I know what D&D is and how to play it, But I never actually played a single round of D&D.... I already made my character and I wanna play around with him to see if I can make any improvements or fixes to the bio and traits and such. If you can tutorialize me on some of the more.. 'DnD-ish' rules and stuff... Please do so?
