Hello everyone, My handle is Onikaze ,Oni for short, and I am an experienced roleplayer currently seeking a weekly game to join. Here is some information about me to give you a better idea as to whether I would be a good fit for your campaign: Age :25 Gender :Male Languages : English (main) /french/spanish/japanese Geographic location: Western europe (gmt+1) Availability : Fridays (17:30-05:00 GMT /12:30pm-12am EST) Saturdays (14:00-05:00 GMT /09:00 am-12am EST) and Sundays (14:00- 02:00 GMT/09:00am-9pm EST) Personality: Positive = Friendly/Imaginative/Relaxed/Jovial Negative = Special snowflake syndrome flares up sometimes, just reign me in if its too much^^ Game experience : D&D 3.5 - as a player only and a while back but just need a 5 min refresher and i'm ready) Pathfinder - as a player and GM , I've spent a lot of time on this system over a few years , created homebrew worlds for it , and even retooled it for a "one piece " campaign friends were asking me to run for them and so on. Golarion is the world I'm most knowledgeable in as well. D&D 5th ed - As a player i've entered three one shots with a barbarian goliath and one with a gnome wizard but I'm willing to learn Others : I've played one shots of other systems such as anima beyond fantasy, mystborn adventure game, D20 homebrews and call of cthulu. Playstyle : I'm adaptable I enjoy playing anything from a BSF barbarian to a GOD wizard. I can enjoy playing almost any role (exept for straight fighter) Although I often go for gishy builds when the right classes are availlable or multiclassing is allowed if i'm not needed in a specific role. Now that you know about me, I am going to list my preferences and deal breakers: Preferences: 1. I enjoy roleplay and story more than I do dungeoneering or random fights so my favorite ratio is 66% story/character development 33% action. Although if the action is not too random and ties in well to the story I can enjoy the game nonetheless. 2. I enjoy leveling up and making my characters progress down a path and so I enjoy it when gm's use story exp rather than ,or in addition to, battle exp as otherwise even though i don't enjoy it much i feel like I need to start fights with everything I see to get anywhere and it also limits creativity in battles as every npc that does not get traditionally dealt with ( death /dismemberment/ko) results in exp loss for the group. 3. I enjoy fantasy in all of its genres up whether high/epic/teen/dark and so on and I enjoy it when GM's put little easter eggs or get inspiration from works in that field , even if just as comedic relief. Dealbreakers : 1.Any dungeon of the week type campaign where 90%+ of gametime is spent in a dungeon dodging traps and fighting. that does not mean a full dungeon session is a deal breaker as long as its not what happens every week. 2. Abusive gm's who try to kill their players with too much enthusiasm. If you group of players aren't leeroy jenkins, it shouldn't be normal for an average of two characters to die each session. GM mistakes in encounter levels happen and thats ok , I just can't deal with a gamethat has that as a constant since I like having my chacracters grow into themselves, without being interupted each time due to bloodthristy GM's To clarify , preferences are just bonus but if you consider your game to fit the description of either dealbreakers please do not respond and I apologise for wasting your time thus far.
