Card Management

We had a devil of a time with cards in our Hangouts game yesterday. Although I and one of my players were able to see our hands, my two other players saw only a grey box. (I didn't even need cards -- I just dealt some to myself to try and replicate the problem). We also couldn't figure out how discards work. I don't know whether it was a bug or whether we were doing something wrong. What can I do?

You delete a card to discard it, within the deck options you can turn the discard on and change if it's face up or down, that way you can view the discards. You can also change who can see what, "GM" and "Players" are separate. You can see- A) whether or not a player has any cards, B) how many cards from each deck a player has, C) the faces of the cards. The last two are optional for both players and GM. Try checking the box that says 'number of cards' for both players and gm.
