As the Interview is today: Thread closed, everyone, thank you very much for participating :) Warning: The GM (me) of this campaign is a woman but the 3 current other players are all men. I would love to have some diversity in the group apart from me and my NPCs. Never feel like you can't speak up if you are annoyed, hurt or even triggered by something. Please. Seriously. *friendly nudge* Onto the ad itself. First off the short basic infos for the impatient: - We are playing on roll20 + Teamspeak (no one has camera, but voice is a must) - We are playing Mondays and Thursdays with Thursdays being optional and variable depending on the players - We play for five hours, sometimes more if we need to wrap something up - We are looking for 2 players, one of them a rogue and one playing any of the Core or Base classes from here ( http://www.d20pfsrd.com/home ) that are not in play yet or conflict role-wise with another player character - We currently have a Lawful Neutral Elven Ranger (5), a Lawful Good Dwarven Cleric (5) and a Lawful Neutral Halfling Sorcerer (4). - This is an ongoing campaign, new characters will start at level 3 1/2 (to give an advantage to the older characters as they have put a lot of time into this). - We are not using some Pathfinder rules, f.e. we won't be rolling for stats and we don't use most of the combat modifiers, basically streamlining things. Houserules can be found in the listing (will unlock in about an hour of this post, https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/9137/ ) - The Interview & Character creation session will be on Monday, the 16th of December (gametime). - The first day for the new players to actually start playing will probably be on the 6th of January so that players have their Christmas break :) (the date can of course be discussed if new arrivals can't make it) Recently we lost a great player to real life (so yes, he still likes us) and with the group now shrunk to 3 we are recruiting again to fill the ranks. I accept oldtimers as well as newcomers, any experience level is completely fine as long as you are able to stay in character (or actor stance). The campaign is played on roll20 of course - voicechat on a Teamspeak server, video on roll20 for those that want it (no one has right now though). The campaign has been going on for 23 sessions (usually twice a week, but sometimes only once depending on the players) with each session taking about 5 hours and consisting of a lot of character interaction and character driven play in actor stance. Sometimes 4 sessions go by without any combat at all, sometimes the party will be in a larger dungeon for 2 sessions. In any case, The world itself is pretty much classic fantasy with (hopefully) a few essential differences like my own pantheon - mostly to keep things a bit simpler, really. My GMing preference is heavily on the story, npcs, moral quandaries, puzzles and mysteries side of things. Combat will mostly be optional and I reward and prefer roleplaying before dicerolling. I improvise a lot. On the players' side, I need your characters to have motivations of their own and seek out what they want in my world. If they sit around doing nothing, nothing will happen. We are working on this together, not against each other :) Infighting/discussions (in-character) are awesome and character-play is a must. If your character would disagree with something, disagree. If your character would do something, do it (or try to, anyway). Don't assume success or failure with anything. Party conflict can absolutely happen and will definitely be played out every time it happens if it happens. I can't stress enough how important the characters are in this campaign. The game is sandbox-like and character driven, the GM provides the world, npcs (and their motivations/goals/fears) and of course (hopefully) interesting scenarios as well as an overarching plot. The world will usually react somewhat realistically. All of this will inevitably make the game feel very slow for the action-loving types, so if you are not into that, don't apply. If you have read all the available information and are interested or have any questions, send me a pm or post here (include what colour is your favorite and why to prove that you did indeed read this and yes this is the first weeding out point... :) ) and I will send you the Teamspeak information with the date of the Interview once more.
