The team has a lot of civic events triggering in the next few months, so they're taking some time to mind Bartertown and integrate with Athasian culture. day 87 - Kiva reports arrival at home but advises she is unable to sway city leaders to send a convoy to Cragwood.. but she would be able to escort the team to her city from the cyran portal if desired. Day 89 - Bromen Kilnheart -- the weapon dealer contact Nero developed in Marketplace before Rogar's soul took control of his son's body -- Tracked "Nero" down after spending time researching Large Client options. Back in Season 1 or 2(?) when the team first pushed out to marketplace Nero found the dwarf inquiring about equipping merc operations like Clover Sails and Raskal. the team's official response was "see what you can do and we'll see what demands we will have".. and the team sprouts From budding "Rogue Privateers" to "Lords of the Ivory Plain" within the term of their first contract. Bromen is impressed. So, when kilnheart comes back with answers... Mror Hold is able to manufacture full retinue of weaponry ("rare" quality), but it takes time-- From mechanics perspective, weapons are supplied per favor: - 1 month = 100 troops; personal weapons and armor .. high end dwarven tech. - 1 month = 10d20 worth of seige weapons (any specs; any damage but radiant, psychic, or necrotic) no favor cap per month, but timeline is non-negotiable. The team puts in an initial bid of one favor... and the specific details will be resolved at the end of 30 days. (day 129) day 93 - The geas storm ends in what has become Bartertown. Until now, the geas enforced the citizens to hunt down any connections to the cult of Draegoth and eliminate it from the town. WHile that process has been in play, the team also invested time developing the sense of faith the athasians are prone to exhibit. The fact that dragon kings are able to gain so much power among their people is because of their tendencies to dedicate their considerable force of will towards a unifying purpose. Natural telepaths, perfect physical specimens, far more intelligent and in possession of awareness above other human strains... above all else they admire conviction . It is very difficult to bullshit a telepath... and the team introduced themselves as unguarded minds, unable to erect the psychic boundaries that psions build to defend themselves from their thoughts being probed.. the team has been an open book their entire time interacting with this community. The solidarity of Focus between the paladins and clerics on the team is like fire to a moth.Once the Geas ends, 96% stand loyal to the development of Bartertown as a new, unfettered point of contact between Athasian culture and the Khorvaire nations. Only 4% - 192 - upstarts That is the number of noble houses that had their properties seized for supporting Draegoth. Most of them have fled the city.. some vowing vengeance. 18 of the noble families have been incarcerated and will be arbitrated over the next 6 montsh (day 261) for those remaining dedicated to the new vision: 32% church of All Spark = 1536 27% church of the fury = 1296 a full 59% of the population are inspired to follow the team's directives simply by the conviction of the team's vision of driving out dragon kings like Draegoth - and what they are equating to Kazarak. That's a solid 1800 troops willing to journey to hell to fight Evil face to face. Things are coming along nicely. 39% independent = 1776 uncommitted to either church, but motivated by the civics being introduced as well as the clear path towards economic prosterity that originally drew these people to what was Bodak in the first place. Unwilling to go on a holy crusade, but very willing to build a solid infrastructure to support that effort and provide a path to progress in thie world Athas has been shunted into. Also worth noting - Draegoth blessed don't have psionics. they're a dark spot. impossible to miss on sight. 25% 1200 of the population are "infected" with Draegoth's Blessing, and it only takes a Remove Curse breaking an 8th level spell to remove the effect... which the team and supporting characters can accomplish in 58 days (day 151) day 96 - The team receives word from Cragwood that a shock-team of demon soldiers infiltrated the facility-- fortunately the warmec and abundance of troops were able to force the infiltrators to flee back to the spirit world. The creatures killed turned into inert black goop when killed. This highlights a weakness the team has against the forces of hell-- access to the spirit world. The team has been under attack by demonic assassins, law-bots from the planes of order... this is an entire flank yet to be covered. day 106 - uncommon magic lab established in Bartertown (able to produce 75gp / day ). It'll take 1 week per pair of goggles to provide night vision for the full team (Eduardo and Frank, mainly) so they can safely traverse the underdark without light. (day 120) The team continues to invest in development to a rare magic lab to accelerate athasian oddities for wholesale distribution. (day 136) day 110 - A demonic invasion occurs within the Temple of Unity (as the locals are calling it) inside bartertown.. Proving again that natural psionicists can deal some serious pain to fiends. Casualties are minimal and the creatures that are downed rot away into puddles of intert black goop again.. Dhraksis connects the dots that this goop is the same os the inwert substance he had collected in the underdark while exploring south and east of the Gulg Forest. day 115 - new ship from honest harry. A small crew air helm Mosquito class merc ship with Aundiar papers.. 2 auto-balista forward mounts with a grappling balista tail gun causing shock damage to the surrounding area of impct. Fast 40mph ship, built for spartan living and Rogue Privateer activity.plus.. 2 months of pearl harvesting = 2 favors. One feeds the Mror Hold troop equipment and the other funds the development of the Rare Magic Lab. (see civics timeline below) day 120 - Goggles are finished... the team is now able to enter the underdark without light. day 120 - demon troops drop in on the RaziR scorpion ship running Ivory Plain recon as per Cragwar contract.. the team is able to beat off the 6 creature attack team with a mix of athasians, warforged, and level 1+ characters on the ship... more black sludge and more retreating into the spirit world. .. this is actually a point worth noting... the ships on recon never stay still unless investigating oddities on the ground.. and even then, a ground troop is dropped off and the ship maintains a slow orbit around the team's location for quick extraction or heavy firepower if something Too Strong comes at them. These demons materialized on deck during routine 30mph cruising... so they are able to pinpoint cross-planar movement to a moving target... which is categorized as Dangerous to any ships. day 123 - trade with breland begins. Here's how the mechanics will work. Each month can provide one resource: wealth, production, diplomacy -Wealth is a general unit of favor for purchasing outside team's own resources (troop supplies from Mror Hold, for example.. or purchasing a ship from a friendly nation) -Production is worth two units of favor if used within the team's own resources (setting up/advancing magic labs, for example) -Diplomacy allows the team to have advantage in negotiating with any external organization for the following month, and the results will be a more favorable result than what would otherwise be indicated from any dice resolutions. The team is choosing to use Production for the next 28 days. (day 151) Also... civics - resource management The team is aiming initially at having 4 magic labs set up in the city. 2 pay for all 4 labs upkeep as well as funding resources for team private 2 labs similarly set up 4 forges and ironworks to become self-sufficient in producing war materials or exports to Breland along with exotic flora and athasian recipes at the same pace offered by Mror Hold. Morale on the Ivory Recon gig is losing morale quickly... the team will have to start making persuasion rolls to get low level crews to run the mission without a higher level boss to oversee the operation. also.. day 143 - honest harry harvest collected by Sturdy Turtle (+1 faovr available) day 149 - season is now fall - Gulg druids and the farming community have restored the soil to be self sufficient! day 150 - breland trade resources = production to fuel creation of forges and advance the 4 magic labs from common to uncommon as well as launch of 4 forges in town as well (see timeline at the end) day 151 - all draegoth blessings resolved in Bartertown. day 151 - the team takds control of the RaziR ivory plain recon... finds the mekilot infected with the Black ooze.. radiant and force damage whittle it down quickly to nothing, but no signs of the overdue demons... that's when Honest Harry reports that the pearl operation has been raided - Harry says the irates have returned and are again harvesting the pearls! Team takes off in the Aundair Mosquito to the farm. Day 152 - Harry lends a fishing skiff to the team to get close to the pirate vessl -- The 6th House of Llazaar is House Maratan -- most known for large carrier ships and their bred seahorse lancers. This time, they are on a Karrnath Military Carrier that's been refitted for seahorse population.. 10 necrocannons line the starboard run of the ship-- 200 feet long, 50 feet across and 60 feet deep, it's a large block of iron creeping along at 10mph. Those turrents are active, and punch a good hole in the fishing skiff while the team featherfalls on the main deck.. a few louts are brooing about but the cannons are live and punch some holes int he team with necrotic power... Eduardo drops a blade barrier onto 6 of the 10 turrets spaced 20 feet apart each.. but they trigger bubbleshields and lay in more necrotic damage as the team charges headlong under deck-- a mad dash to the bridge before the crew realize they've been boarded and it becomes a slog. Rogar has generally good knowledge of the layout for these ships, being older models, and leads the team through some platry resistance to the main deck where they obliterate the captain and an Athasian at his side. 1 helm 1 scry screens 1 communications The whole bridge crew has Draegoth's Blessing.. as do about half the crew... 150 crew total on board.. 80 normal 70 blessed after The Offer
