Absolutely new to DnD. Willing to teach me?

Ok yes i am absolutely new to this dungeon and dragons game but it seems fun to play. I'm on Eastern Daylight Time and probably only get on during the weekends. If anyone is willing to teach me the ropes on how to actually play that would be great. Who's wants to go questing with me?

Hello, I have some experience DMing 5th edition DnD, been DMing for about 2 years now. It's always a pleasure to play with new players and introduce them into the world of tabletop roleplaying! I am based in a CST timezone, that's UTC-6 or GMT-6. I'd be able to play mostly on weekends pretty much anytime of the day or Firday evenings. Let me know if you are interested! I also DM for an extremely rules-light system called Microlite20, which is completely free and very easy to learn for new players. Alternatively, if you are interested, I also play a little-known game called Corporia, which is about knights and wizards of old being reborn in a futuristic distopyan world, in a city controlled by MegaCorps. You can play anything from Knights to Hackers with future tech, to battle against monsters and creatures all the while trying to keep the existence of such aberrations as secret as possible from the general public, it's quite fun. Let me know if you chaps are interested!

Yeah, let's hope ~A and maybe another player tags along for this ride, just played with a couple of newbies last Thursday, lots of fun. I expect we'll have a good time as well.

Well we have a party! When shall we play? And what should we play?

Yay! I'm excited. :D Well, for when, I am NOT available the following times EDT-5: Saturday after 5pm  Most Fridays at the same time Most Sunday mornings. I'm the only one at work with the availability to work those times. If we decide on a time slot I can work it into my weekly schedule. (Part time hours are all over the place, so I need to put it in my availability.) Preferably, I would like to try for Tue-Thur evening or Sunday Afternoon, but I'm flexible. As for the what, I'd be fine with playing any generic-ish D&D 5E -- straight from a book or of your own creation. I had a few bubbling ideas for shorter/learning campaigns if you wish to discuss it more in detail over PM, I'd be more than happy to. I already have a few pre-built characters ready to roll (all Druids) and I'm willing to help anyone with character ideas if needed. ~ A P.S. Are we still open for more members, too? 

Hiya,  I'd also be interested in joining as a player, or a DM. I've had over 5 years experience in both roles and am free most evenings throughout the week. I've got a sandbox world that's half on paper and half in my head with many adventures and plotlines that I can bring a party into, or I'm just as happy to roll a new character and actually play, (haven't done that in a while!)

Howdy all! I too am very very new to the game and would be very interested in learning to play if there is room.  My time is very very flexible so can arrange to my schedule as needed.

Very well then! 3 is a party and 5 is a warband! I'm pretty sure the toughest part will be the scheduling. I can work with ~A's times no problem.

I'm in CST (GMT-6), and would only be able to start at 9pm or after. We seem to have a lot of people interested - perhaps there's enough to just start two groups? If so, I can DM a game at 9/9:30pm CST on Tuesdays, lasting for about 3 hours.

Do you have too many players now? If so I'll find something else I havnt played before.

I dunno. How many do we need? I'm good M to Th Afternoon/Evenings so Tue/Thurs evening would be okay with me. Does 4pm or 5pm Tuesday and Thursday work? Personally I'd like to try DnD 5e as that seems like the most common/popular and a good place to start for new players.
