The World has always been a dangerous place, from roving bands of bandits to foolhardy wizards. Though there are many forms of protectors from such dangers, none are as well known as those belonging to the Zenith Spire. A guild, an institution, an academy, built to combat the Other. Those things that go bump in the night, spirit children away, or simply that Do Not Belong on this plane of existence. The Spire believes all of these creatures should be removed or captured, at their own discretion. Fey that do not belong, the shadows of the Shadowfell, true devils of the Nine Hells, celestials from up on high, and elemental beings such as djinn and the like. All these beings are fair game to the Hunters of the guild and oh they shall hunt them down to the ends of the world, putting stake through heart, banishing them back to their realm or worse.. The Spire is known for its absolutes. It always gets its prey, one way or another. You three are a squad of Hunters beneath a Handler, sent out on a contract that many others have failed to complete already. This is a last ditch effort before the Spire sends a Haggler to deal with the target.. permanently. The only information known of the target is that it is a Fey named Taliesin, it is fearsomely strong, quick to action, and has a deep connection to the earth. Good luck Hunters! This is a homebrew campaign/world built to test the three homebrew classes I've created called; Warrior of the Storm , Tattoo Summoner , and Spirit Archer , which'll be further explained and gone over in a Session 0 as well as class guides being provided to the players who choose the class in question. This Session 0 will happen a week after I close the listing this coming Friday. Being relatively new to DM'ing, with only a few months under my belt, and roll20 I can understand if more experienced players might want to avoid this campaign, but any feedback would be great regardless! I'm fully open to new players joining and just having a good time really, abusing the powers gained with these new classes. For a quick summary of the three classes they're like this: Warrior of the Storm: A kind of mesh of a Paladin and Druid with the caveat of instead of Gods and divine energy, they embody the Will of the Storm, a being worshiped by the Tribe of the Storm in the Stormrod Mountains, said to live upon the clouds. The Storm Warrior is very much so a hard hitting tank of a class, and should take the brunt of most weather. Tattoo Summoner: In ancient times the Summoners were a popular breed, cutting work times in half with their summoned monsters doing all the hard work, but now they're few and far between, but are returning to popularity. The Tattoo Summoner is kind of a Sorcerer if the Sorcerer was entirely focused on the art of Summoning, and they have the unique ability to mark their skin with tattoos that come to life and aid them in battle. Spirit Archer: A class devoted entirely to ranged combat more than anything else, as I felt there was a lack of focus in that regard barring Rangers and magicians of all varieties. The Spirit Archer is a deadly assassin who is sought after across the land, able to step in and out of the Ethereal Plane like a fish in water they are a unique piece on the chess board that all kings and emperors desire to deal with their enemies. I'm looking for three individuals to rep each of the three classes, going through this story driven campaign of my own writing, revolving around the world I've started to build and the guild known as the Zenith Spire and what it gets up to in the shadows. I'm hoping together we'll help build up this world slowly and figure out if these three classes are viable or not! (Truth be told certain aspects of them might be a tad overpowered, but that's for me to figure out!) I'm looking for people who are open and friendly and willing to talk a bunch, not necessarily just about random junk but about the my game-world itself and any nit-pickings they may have about their chosen class. But also open to RP aspects of the game in general. Though the game is listed as 18+ this is purely for the aspects of gore/horror that will come into play and perhaps substance abuse that may come into the campaign as well if we are able to continue past a certain threshold of the story as a group. I won't discourage other 18+ imaginings, but I'd rather not describe that kinda stuff if we can help it D; The game is open to all official races, backgrounds, personalities etc. but not other homebrew content as there's going to be a lot of that present already. If you're not into the idea of playing a Class that has no basis in the official system and could be severely under-powered or overpowered in your estimations that's all good! Thanks for checking out the listing and spreading the word at the very least! :) You can find the listing below, which contains an information page that may have a few more tidbits of knowledge regarding the classes and the campaign and the kinda game I want to run! Listing for: Hunters of the Zenith Spire
Applications still open for another three days if anyones interested in a homebrew class and homebrew campaign run! I would like to go for as long as possible with the campaign and I'll be writing a lot of the future stuff after the main quest is done with on the fly so if you like that kind of game then submit an application! :)
