Hey all - I've had this account for a while but never used it. Watching Stream of Annihilation got me to remembering this site was a thing, however, and after some waffling on the idea, I decided to make this post. So I've been playing D&D for quite a while - I started in the gap between 1st and 2nd - and DMed a Planescape game for a while before falling out of tabletop for a long period. It wasn't due to lack of interest, but rather, lack of an available steady group after I moved away from where I was living at the time. So 3rd and 4th both came and went and during that window I only played a couple of one shots, 1 brief Play by Email game, and a very very briefly lived 3rd group that fell apart due to scheduling issues. It was a long, painful break. Flash forward to now, where I'm just starting to DM 5e for some friends (using a modified LMoP set in my homebrew world) and recently had another group of friends ask me to DM for them as well... which brings me to my issue: I really miss being a player on the other side of the screen! So here I am - looking for any newly formed or forming groups who have room for another player who is just grateful to not have the fate of the evening resting on his head for a change. I'm flexible on race and class - I used to play a lot of clerics but I'm honestly open to just about anything. I enjoy heavy roleplaying just as much as a good fight or dungeon crawl and would ideally love to find a game that's a good mix of styles rather than being all of one or the other. I can join you on just about any software platform needed (skype, discord, etc) and do have a webcam available if that's a requirement. I'm also LGBT/queer friendly and don't really put up with crappy bigotry of any kind - should go without saying, but best to get that out there. As far as scheduling goes - I'd prefer something during the week if possible? The only day I can't really do is Sat/Sun as that's when my IRL group meets (usually Sunday but we've done Sat before so I like leaving the window there). I'm in the US and running on Eastern time. Any other information you need, I'm happy to provide. Thanks! Hope someone has some room for me out there! :(
