Tonight I was on roll20, GMing for my weekly game, and out of nowhere, one of my player's names changed to "the old man". I took a screenshot. Apparently, no one else saw this change on their screen. The player (who is very trustworthy) promised that they did not change it. What's going on here?

The most likely answer is that he probably did change it. Settings tab, display name.

Only individual users can change their own Display Names. They may have changed it by accident. You can find additional information about display names on our  wiki .
