Hello everyone out there! After months of searching and dozens of applications filled out that never go anywhere on game threads, I am once again making a new thread in LFG attempting to join a campaign. Finding a group that is actually fun to play in seems unreasonably difficult these days. DMs either play with way to much combat while ignoring RP, the group is miserable to play with, or the DMs just have unpolished campaigns hastily thrown together. At this point, I am even willing to step into a pathfinder game. And before anyone suggests it, I will have you know that I already intend to be DMing for another group, but I really want to be a player in a campaign. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What I really would like : To be in someone's campaign who will have an exciting world with more than just encounter set up after encounter. I want to have to solve puzzles. I want to be able to engage in RP with the characters of the world its self. I don't want "The inkeeper says there is a monster you can kill.", I want, "Greetings travelers! What brings ya round these parts? ... I see, well, it just so happens that we do need yer help. We have a little problem down yonder near the outskirts of the village. A great big ol'beast has been wreakin havoc." Something like a 75% RP, 25% combat split is fine with me. I can even do half of the sessions are combat and half are RP if the RP side is interesting and engaging. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- About me : I am a 21 year old graduate student who was introduced to DnD 3.5e about a year ago. Since then, I have become a well versed player with knowledge of nearly all the material (seriously, do not let my short time played fool you). I enjoy the combat and character building of DnD, but I feel that it doesn't become engaging unless the world is heavy on flavor and RP as well. I prefer versatile classes and my four favorite ones are the Binder, Factotum, Artificer, and Dragonfire Adept. I like coming up with interesting characters that have heavy back-stories and I love adapting them to the world the DM provides. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What I want to play : I would be happy to fulfill whatever role you would like in your campaign, so long as you are alright with me not necessarily choosing the same class you would have picked. I am interested in playing another Binder right now, but I don't mind playing a Bard, Favored Soul, or Dragonfire Adept either depending on what role really needs filled. If its something else, I don't mind working with you, but I am not a big fan of a majority of the core classes. If its Pathfinder, I really want to play Summoner.
