Hello. The games first session will be tomorrow at 11:00am Pacific time. Those interested in joining should post a description of the investigator they wish to play.  For those interested in a modern day Call of Cthulhu campaign look no further. Our setting is modern day England in the fictional seaside town of Whiteport. Lord Edwin Darby, the 25th Earl of Whiteport has been missing for the past two years after suddenly disappearing on the night of September 22, 2015. According to his oldest son and wife he left on a scheduled trip for Dublin. English police and Irish guards made a sincere effort to locate Lord Darby but to no avail. It is September 1, 2017 and the papers are again filled with stories of his disappearance. It appears that Lady Darby is attempting to have her husband declared dead in court which she will be able to do on the 22nd. Before this occurs his friends and past associates suspecting mischief return to Whiteport hoping to find something that can indicate what happened to their friend or benefactor. Their excuse for returning is that if Lord Darby to be declared dead they have a right to inquire about his last will.
Hello! I saw this post and was immediately interested. I have interest in Lovecraftian fiction as a genre partly due to having read a number of H.P. Lovecraft's short stories. I have sadly never played Call of Cthulu though so there's that. The idea I have for my investigator is for Eira Priddy, a rather cynical Welsh grifter who had been previously active in London before settling down to live in Whiteport after a score went bad.
Have time for discord?

I just want to go over the character and create/disca bit of backstory.
Right now? No. It's 11 at night so I won't be using a Mic because other people are more reasonably asleep. I can probably go on Discord earlier than the session if you like. Btw, what edition of Call of Cthulu would we be using.
7th edition and before the session can work.
Sounds good to me.
