[LFG][D&D 5E] INCOMING: new player in an awkward timezone

---But I'm willing to make it work! Hi everyone! You can call me symph. I'm 23 and super new to D&D in general. I've played munchkin before, enjoyed it a great deal, and I've also extensive experience with text-based roleplaying but I've never actually tried the D&D system (I don't think watching Critical Role religiously counts but hey, I've picked up a lot of things). Here's hoping we can change that! I'm looking for a group (be it new or established) that's willing to have me. I pick things up really quick but a little patience would be appreciated too! I'd love to be able to balance both rp and combat because I'm most in it for the story, y'know? I enjoy a good arc so if we can get something like that going on, I'd be in it for the long-haul. I have this idea for a tiefling cleric I just can't get out of my head and I really want to be able to play her in a game. If you have room for that, sign me up! But first-- and this is the part where I usually lose people. I'm in GMT+8 which puts me roughly halfway across the world from most players and groups in NA and makes for awkward timezones for the European regions. If you're in EST, games that start later ie sometime like/after 8pm works best (since it'll be roughly 8am the next morning for me). If you're near my part of the world, even better! I'm free most weeknights. I'd like to say I'm available most days but sometimes work schedules can change around a lot (since it's in shifts) but I promise I'll give a heads up. As it is, Sunday and Monday are my most reliable days off. Regardless though, I'm definitely willing to work it out and shift things around if need be so don't be afraid to reach out! What else should I include here? I have a discord (symphonics#8395) and skype so if those platforms are utilised, I'm ready! Anyway, if you want to reach me just comment here or drop me a PM/DM on discord. Fingers crossed I can start my D&D adventures soon!
So. guys. i played my first D&D oneshot today and i'm telling you, i'm H O O K E D. like-- sign me up, count me in. i fell in love with the whole system and i'm just excited to play more!  a few things i've learnt from that session: - i'm very much into the storytelling/acting/combat type of games. this isn't something new but oh boy, does it rev my engines. i adore adore adore story arcs so if you have a short campaign (maybe 3-4 sessions) you're needing players for? definitely hit me up! (i mean, i'm here for long-term campaigns too but starting small. baby steps ). - group chemistry is very important to me. it's all about that banter y'know? i definitely got more comfortable after establishing some sort of rapport with the other players because in-game, characters/party interaction plays a big part in making me invest in the story which is why i figure, short campaigns are gonna hit that spot for now. - flexible hours are also a must. this mostly came to me because honestly, i didn't expect to be free today but i was so i ended up with the fortuitous luck of joining a one-shot with other free people at that time. i'm not expecting such last minute planning but because my work schedule changes weekly, some sort of leeway would be great (especially because--- awkward timezone). - i love improv. it was scary at first! but after getting into the groove, i wanted to contribute so many things. if you're looking for someone who's ready to follow you to the end of your badly thought out plan, i'm probably your girl for that. let's make bad decisions together~! roll20 is pretty intuitive once i've gotten the hang of it. i'm pretty familiar with the basics now but there's still loads to learn. so! looking forward to playing more games with all of you~ y'know how to reach me! (:
