Audio Chat as of yesterday is broken.

Audio chat worked fine a couple days ago, but yesterday I couldnt get it to work for the life of me. I changed the settings over and over, restarted and recconected for a good 30 mins trying to get it to work but to no avail.  It no longer displays the blue volume bar when I talk so it feels like it either isnt working at all or isnt detecting my mic for some reason.

Was there someone else in the game, the chat only turns on if 2 or more people are in game.
yes someone else has been in the game
I am surprised it worked for you two days ago. It has not worked for my group since Tokbox gave them the boot. We use Skype, which is a shame, the in house chat has features I would really like.

My problem is basically with how we do things we have a large group in the same room with the DM(Me) over voice with basically the detect volume low enough to just constantly pick up audio. I hear myself but I can deal with that as long as the players have a good time obv. The roll20 audio system worked well enough, the latency wasnt horrible, and biggest of all when both my microphone and theirs were transmitting it didnt cut either of us out. With Discord when I talk it mutes them basically. I have no idea why it does this, and if you have advice on that I would apprecite it was well. What I am looking for in audio was:  A) MIddling Quality B) Decent Latency C) No one gets cut out when others are talking, ie I can talk and listen to incoming transmissions at the same time. I dont even know why I have to ask for this but at least discord as I have tried suffers from this problem whilst roll20 did not.  Any advice on different troubleshooting or even different programs to explore would be greatly appreciated. Google Hangouts cuts out others when I talk as well so thats out of the picture. Ventrilo has too much latency over long periods as I have noticed anecdotally so that is also not the best but it works talking about a 70ms delay slowly increasing to like 250+ ms. Havent tried skype in years so maybe thats next. Sorry if this is a bit much but it really is our groups current biggest problem in enjoying our time in game.

Have you tried it using a different browser or a different computer? And for other options I'd recommend Discord.

Yes I have tried Firefox and a completely different computer with chrome and to no avail. Also Discord presents problems when multiple people are talking at once as least from my experience last night.

Is there a reason this is in the Pro forum and not the bug reports forum?

I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with the site. Let's carefully work through (the applicable) Steps 1 through 8 of the Roll20 guide to Audio Visual Troubleshooting : Step 1: Make sure you’re using the most recent version of either Chrome or Firefox Please check if these issues persist when using both Chrome and Firefox. Step 2: Give Roll20 permission to use your microphone and camera Step 3: Make sure Video and Voice are turned on inside Roll20 Step 4: Clear your Web Browser’s Cache Step 5: Make sure you have the right ports open Step 6: Check if your camera is working with WebRTC Step 7: Check that your camera is functioning Step 8: Do a bandwidth test If none of the above succeeds, please thoroughly work through Step 9 : Step 9: Solving Technical Issues Step 9.2: Ensure that there are no extensions/addons interfering with Roll20 Please disable all add-ons/extensions and anti-virus programs. Step 9.4: Provide a bug report Please ensure that the Console Log is complete. Thank you!
