Just to be upfront I'm quite new to roll20 (although I've gamed for many years). I'm looking to run a voice-chat (audio only, no webcam) based game using a system I've been working on badly in need of playtesting, called Badass Kung Fu Demigods. Basically, ultra-high powered, anime-esque action game in the vein of things like Exalted or Godbound. Obviously I'll provide access to the rules you'll need to play (linked at the end of the post). Plan would be for Sundays, around mid-afternoon to evening Pacific Time. I'm flexible on the exact time so please let me know what time works best for you and we can work from there to figure out the exact start time. Ideally we would be playing weekly for a short, multi-session campaign with the possibility of a longer game afterwards. I've already got two players (a friend and my wife) and I'm looking for 1-3 more. Hoping to start on the 16th of July, but if things end up taking longer I'm cool with that. Since this is a playtest I would like to record the sessions for later use and posting as an actual play session. These recordings would be edited for content and personal information, not livestreamed. That said, I'd prioritize actually playing the game over getting a recording so if you're interested in playing but don't want to be recorded feel free to say so. Likewise if you'd like to play and don't have access to a mic or headset feel free to speak up and I may decide to go all text. My GMing style is very casual, but I still enjoy good role-playing, just expect things like joking around or the occasional distraction to happen. I prefer the feel of playing with friends over running too tight a ship. I'm not particularly foul-mouthed but you can probably expect the occasional swearing and I'm cool with that on the player's side as well. That said sexism, racism, etc obviously wouldn't be tolerated. Everyone should feel free to speak up if anything makes them uncomfortable. The setting is called Sword Lords Of The Apocalypse , players will be the bearers of the World-Breaker Swords...ancient magi-tek weapons of mass destruction left behind after the fall of a world-spanning empire (called The Empire, because why not). The destruction of the Empire was roughly 1,000 years ago and since then the world has fallen into chaos as the death-throes of the Empire reduced most of it to wasteland and the rest is filled with monsters, ancient weapons and mutants. The World-Breaker Swords (which are persistent enchantment, not an actual physical object) make each one of you a walking WMD, capable of doing things like splitting mountains or annihilating armies. The idea is that the game will start with a group empowerment event and a bit of a tutorial to get to grips with the basics of the system before you start using the full extent of your power. There is intentionally a great deal of undefined white space in the setting to allow you to make up your own backstory and anything that requires (from a tribe of desert nomads to a intergalactic space fleet to a whole alternate dimension). Thematically the setting is a bit of Dragonball, a bit of Trigun, a bit of Final Fantasy 7 and a whole lot of Wild Arms. The full rules for the playtest (and a bit more setting info) can be found here.
