[LFG] [VtM] Hello Darkness My Old Friend [LGBT]

I'm rather new to table top, have had real bad luck finding games that have consistant players who don't numbercrunch the fun out of it for everyone else. I have discord (no skype) and I am FtM who still sounds female. I won't get mad if you mess up, but try to get it right. My RP experience is over a decade, though it has been freeform play-by-post for the most part, and recently I got snared into a VtM game which has me completely enthralled. I would prefer a new game over an established one but I will consider if it's got a good story.
Hello Nadir G. I am looking for a game themed in that world as well, recently I joined a NWoD game that has me enthralled. It is my desire to find more games of the role play Focused kind to play in, and so I happened upon your post. Perhaps some Storyteller out there would be willing to start a regular game from the interest in this thread. To that end I would like to state my interest and offer my time and experience of 3 years of consistent play in many rule sets. I can use whatever communication required as long as its voice only I have a wide availability and my Timezone is GMT+1. Come storytellers and let us tell a tale! /Dance
I'd also be interested in a VtM game with some LGBT themes. Big gaymer here and long time player, sometimes ST for CWoD. Not really into NWoD. Have been considering possibly running a Vampire game but ideally seeking to be a player that fits around my schedule. Am curious though if you get something rolling.
Hey, my GF and I might be interested we are both the kind of people who dislike how cis-het white centric a lot of the tabletop world can be.

Oh wow, the power of memes and rainbows we have gathered ourselves a troupe~ How glorious. All we need now is a storyteller.
I have a slightly homebrewed 5e campaign running now. I have 3 players currently but I'm up for getting a few more. If you're not afraid of heavy moments that might show up, intense visuals, and not being the strongest person in the world which means that you'll possibly have to avoid a fight or flee, then I wouldn't mind you joining my group. We have fun and laugh and I like to have everyone being more or less friendly since this is supposed to be a game of friends. It's definitely story oriented and the other players can attest to that actions have consequences. I'm all for whatever character you want to use. The only thing that people can't use anymore are water dwelling creatures like sea elves, titans, merfolk, ect. But that's because of choices from last campaign that had rippled into forming the current story for this campaign. I also rather people use established creatures that have been converted to 5e. I don't care where you get it from too much as long as it's not something you personally created. This also applies to classes as well. If it's from the Unearthed Arcana, I'm all for it. I will also stress that just because magic is a thing, doesn't mean science still doesn't apply. You still need leverage to move/pick up something. If your character is missing a hand, that will lead to certain impossibilities because of the lack of a hand. Finally, we meet every Saturday at 5pm est., but I try to wait a tiny bit and let people ease into the game since I know that there is the possibility for heavy moments where people might get emotional. It's all good and it's all in good fun. We're crafting a story together so as long as no one takes anything personally, I don't mind what happens. So I like to send out reminders like 20-15mins before we start so we can start on time. I send these through skype since it's easiest for me. We usually have a recap of the week before that one of the players does because they enjoy doing it. You will need at least a mic. I will say if you miss 3 sessions in a row and don't communicate with me, I've started kicking people out since I figure that they have lost interest, got too busy, or what have you. I think that's everything but if you're interested, we can talk some more and maybe exchange skype info if you're interested and get things going so that you can be ready for even this week's session. I'm not sure about numbercrunching since the only time we do a ton of rolling is during battles and that's about it. I'm usually pretty forgiving if people use the wrong dice or try to work through it as quickly as possible. The rule of thumb I go by is if it's not a roleplay situation that has the NPC on the fence of whether or not they would go one way or another and there's no risk of failure, then I don't make people roll. I try to take the whole situation into account before I ask for a roll and it always means that things might not go exactly according to plan. I also like to have Nat1s be more comical than sudden and complete doom. Let me know and good luck if you find that my campaign isn't what you're looking for. ^-^
Thank you for the offer Ariana. Speaking for myself only in this thread I will say personally I have spent a good bit of time playing with 5e and I am eager to play something different,  and like I said That home brewed nWoD game really has me jonesin for something Darker more contemporary and story driven. I would consider anything WoDish shadowrun-y or even SWON or something in a similar headspace. Seriously though, thank you for offering.  <3
Oh man are you all reading my mind? I've been thinking just today that it'd be fun to play Vampire again. Bi/Pan woman myself, adore the role playing over the number crunching. Can I ask to please be kept in mind if something gets started? Much appreciated if so =)
Ohh, paging this. Queer and a big owod/vtm fan here!
Am wondering, if I was to start up a VtM game for four players, likely either Thursday or Friday evenings (Pacific Time) for every other week, who would be interested and able to commit to such a game. In addition to some LGBT themes and characters, who would be interested in a game with very mature and adult themes? Also if I were to be the Storyteller, who would be able to handle roleplaying out the scenes of feeding, as well as the personal horror of the beast, dealing with rage and bloodlust of being Kindred. I see some vampire games which gloss over the quest for blood. I don't necessarily want to RP out feeding in extreme detail, but feel this is an important part of playing WoD Vampire. As for setting, was considering Seattle (which is where I live), and a small group of newly embraced characters getting involved in the politics and intrigues of the Camarilla/Anarchs of the area. Would like detailed backgrounds to establish who the player/character is beyond just a set of dots on a page, breath details and do inner monologues for some scenes to understand the characters motivations and feelings. I am thinking of deciding players Sire and possibly even Clan for the embraced vampire but not 100% set on this yet, but would definitely RP the prelude of each selected PC. From what I have described so far, who would be interested?
Friday evenings every other week would be great for me. I don't mind RPing the dark side of it. Characters fighting their inner monster is a fav trope of mine. And I am all about characters being more than numbers on a page. That's one of the reasons why I was drawn to VtM in the first place back when it came out originally. What I tend to like to do with my PCs is come up with their backstory as they know it, and then hand it over to the GM to fit into the world and fill in any hooks or details however they want. So yes, please count me in as being interested if you were to do such a thing. Thank you =)
I am interested, but I think that likely would be too late for me I am living in the GMT+1 Time zone. Also If it is LGBT+ mandatory and focused characters, it may not be the sort of game I am looking for. Perhaps I should bow out now and leave ye to it. Good luck!
It wouldn't be LGBT only, but have a few of those themes and characters throughout the city. But understand time zone could be an issue. Still milling over if I want to start the game.
I'm not a gaymer but I love me some vtm. I would be down to play if you peeps are still trying to get something going and need another player. I like the idea of rping feeding. Most of the games I ran in highschool were sabbat war parties that ran around causing problems for the cams by leaving drained bodies in the streets all over the place. I would be particularly interested in playing that out as a nos.
I might be willing to try and run a VtM game. I've done it before, and learned a lot from the experience.
I would like to join in if possible been wanting to play a VTM game and I dont mind LGBT themes in it. Its been very hard to find a game on here for VTM that I could join. As for time as long as its not on the weekends I'm fine with it.
Oh wow, so much attention! Thanks so much everyone, I was so nervous about posting this but look at all you lovely things <3
Yep, there will be a VtM game posted soon that will have LGBT characters and themes. Keep an eye out for it.
Oooo - shall do! Posted here or in the LFG finder?
