Eaon B. said: What's Save Game mostly about? The basic premise is that the players are "forgotten" video game heroes (to avoid being the famous copyrighted ones), who are retired, but called back to action when their world is threatened by a dangerous enemy known as The Glitch. When The Glitch takes over the big-name video game heroes (also all clever homages that avoid copyright) get defeated and corrupted, turned into evil versions of themselves. The players are the last hope of the last uncorrupted city, traveling to each video game area to do battle with it's boss in a hope of bringing an end to the glitch. There are some clever ways that fate and video game themes and tropes cross over. For example, the first time I did this, one player had a trouble aspect that his inventory screen was complex and made it hard to find things. Another one occasionally crashed for a few turns if he defeated an enemy in combat. Also, Cranky Kong called them all noobs because I don't care as much about copyright. Fate points are gold coins, stress boxes are hearts. It's pretty freaking amusing if you liked video games of the 80s and early 90s.
