Scanning a board game

Hi there, I though I would check before I do this. If I were crazy enough to scan and construct an entire board game into roll20, am I going to get it deleted due to some sort of copyright laws when I try to find a group for it? Thanks!

In the same way that taking that board game to a friends house to play doesn't have to involve the law you'll be fine. To put it simply, as long as you aren't seeking to profit from your efforts nor distributing them after the fact you should be ok.
Appreciate that, and I am presuming Roll20 doesn't have any policies against this? I am just trying to do my due diligence before I dump several hours of my life into scanning and photoshopping. Thanks again.

Having recreated the classic HeroQuest myself I reiterate the point that as long as you aren't trying to monetise someone else's intellectual property or otherwise distribute it illegally then you are golden :) What game are you considering... I keep toying with the idea of recreating Talisman (mainly because the existing digital version doesn't allow the same level of customisation my cousins and I put into it when we were kids!).
Thanks again! I'll skim the terms and service to verify. Honestly,  Chaos of the Old World ! It's probably my favourite board game with 4-5 players, it really does turn into total chaos and I think the lore to the game is just awesome. Lots of decks which could be a pain to reproduce, but otherwise it's just a board and a bunch of tokens I'd need to make. I've done this stuff for my 5E games already, so I think it's just a matter of dumping in the time to get a copy in my account. I've never played Talisman, but if you're ever running it on roll20, let me know! I think between Google Hangouts and Roll20's existing functionality, it could support board gaming really easily. I'm kind of shocked it's not being exploited more for this. Maybe once I'm done, I can package all the pieces and give them away for other Roll20 users... just paranoid I'm going to do all that work and have Roll20 delete it from my account! To the Terms and Service I go!

Even if it's given away for free? In any event I'll take your word for it.
If you create a game and give it away, that's your choice, but if I create a game, you make copies of it and give it away, that's stealing.

Speaking as an industry professional, I would like to thank everyone for correcting this common misconception.
