What is the current team composition?

Hello everyone, I was just added and would like to know what the current team is made up of so that I can create my PC to fit that dynamic.
Team Composition is roughly as follows: Xander- Storm Commando Zentraedi officer (team leader). Xavior- Zentraedi intelligence officer (specializing in physiological studies). Jones- Alpha pilot/technical officer (I think). Sean- Veritech pilot, (specializing in Alpha's). Ferret- Exploration specialist (hovertank pilot). Ventom-Invid science experiment. The team can be fairly fluid, from past experience. So we are relatively flexible as to what type of character you might wish to play. For speed and convenience it would probably be preferable if you focused on something from the Marines source book. Character generation rolls will be done in roll20 to enable fairness for the existing players and hopefully reduce the "power gamer" problems that we have encountered in the past.
The only Robotech books I have are the original Robotech RPG and the Sentinels book. It has been years since I made a character for them. I'm not aware of what is in the Marines Sourcebook. Just a quick look in the Sentinels has me interested in a Military Specialist, but I'd like to know the kinds of missions the team generally goes on. Also, are there any skills the team is sorely lacking on a regular basis?
As for the character generation rolls, do you just want me write down what I'm rolling for before each one? And I assume we are using character generation rules straight from the book, right?
Hey there Joseph, Mate, could I please get your email address and Skype information? I'll add you to our skype chat page (where much of the game fluff is fleshed out). One of my long standing players (Edwardo) has agreed to help me out with guiding you through your character generation and possibly suggesting skillsets that might mesh well with the team. Edwardo (Ed) has-Co Game Master rights and should be more than able to assist you. Unfortunately I work away and have relatively limited internet access, which is one of the reasons that I have to ask this, as well a the 3 week game cycle. Thank you for your understanding.
info was sent via private message on roll20.
Let me know what days/time your available and help you get set up. Or if you have any question feel free to contact me.
I'm a bit swamped this weekend with family and kid's birthdays. Are you available Sunday around 4 PST?
Unless a work schedule change I should be.
Thanks for sending your information Joseph. I have sent a Skype contact request to you mate. Normally we use skype to handle all of our audio (voice over traffic) while playing. The load on Roll 20 can be a bit much and it causes the game to lag badly otherwise.
Edwardo, I apologize for not being there. I was feeling under the weather today, enough so that my wife put me to bed early in the afternoon. I didn't wake until after 7pm.
Np got side track myself.
Since game is in a few nights, I'm just going to make up a Cyclone Pilot PC. When I get a chance tomorrow, I'll log on to make the rolls for the stats and SDC, labelling what I'm rolling for each time. I assume I will be rolling for stats in order and not have the option to adjust stats. I'll just got based off of the Sentinels rulebook. Is there anything else I should know?
Human pretty straight forward. If you have Shadow Chronicles book there some updated information a classes.
I don't have that one. That's why I'm just going to go with the Human Cyclone Rider. Makes it simple.

Did not know the Military specialist could fly Alphas. Welcome Joseph there are some good cyclones now in the Marine book so specializing in that will work and they seem pretty buff if you got the skills.
BTW Xander knows allot on the new system that is used. The old system we grew up with is a little outdated. Michael can help and if Xander is on so can he. Making characters is kind of the same but I think with the new books its a bit more complicated. I'm still learning. Xander really helped me on building my character. Its going to be interesting when I level up for the first time i'll probably grab his help again.
So, are we using the MOS's and the tables that say "ways to round out your character "? Also, I can't seem to find the marine sourcebook. I read thru the shadow chronicles that did have some information on marines.
Since the game is tomorrow, I'm just going to roll up a Marine Commando Military Specialist. I'll roll on the tables for the "ways to round out your character" just in case we are using them.
Character is rolled up and on the play page. There were a few things I couldn't fill in, but the meat and potatoes are there.
Awesome Joseph, thank you for that! Xander (Edwardo) is or used to be a demonstration GM for the Palladium system, so he has a really fantastic grip on the rule systems and I believe is quite up to date with a lot of the F.A.Q. style conflicts that normally arise. If you are happy for me to write up some API scripting for your character Joseph, then I will try to generate some fast roll abilities for your most common attacks.
So Sean is a Alpha Veritech fighter/Test pilot. Also has the commando basic training so he fits with the team and the mission. I'm sure Michael you know his details now since we last spoke about him right before your vacation.
So pretty much he is a Mechanized infantry that has the Alpha Veritech fighter MOS and the Basic commando training MOS since Mechanized infantry gets two. And his fast learning trait gave him access to the Veritech test pilot MOS.
