I'll make a short story long here... I am currently 44 years old. I played D&D for many years when I was younger before switching to MMORPG's. For an idea of how long ago that was, the last time I played, many of our group refused to accept 2nd edition as cannon due to all of the changes from the original rule set. So yeah, I'm freaking old. I find myself exhausted with the MMO industry and the trolls that inhabit their worlds. I long for the fun I had sitting at a table with my friends until the wee hours in the morning, laughing and making our own memories. Needless to say, I am waaaaay behind on the current state of the game, but, judging from many an episode of Critical Role, on YouTube, the core concept of the game remains the same; so I'm familiar with saving throws, damage rolls, etc. I'm very accustomed to playing "in character" as I have only inhabited "Role Play" servers during my time in MMO's. My personal favorite character to play would be a bard; charisma maxed out along with a relatively high intelligence score, supporting the group and wooing the ladies. I'm also good with tanky / heroic classes. Paladins are my personal favorite of those (usually a fallen Paladin turned Merc), though I have played a variety of other classes in my day. I would, however, be willing to play any needed class if it would better the group. While open to any productive group, I would really like to find a group of my fellow old peoples. It's more fun when the people you play with get your references instead of looking at you like a dog that heard a high pitched sound when you mention a record or a walk-man. So someone, PLEASE, Be my Obi-wan and help me out here. You may be my only hope.
