(11 years of GM experience) - Looking for Players for new D&D 3.5 mod. "Dead Future"

Dead Future (D&D 3.5) Zombie Sci-Fi RPG Dead Future so much more than D&D with guns. Players will be able to disassemble electronic equipment and craft automated turrets, seal doors, build alarm systems or local wifi. Upgrade weapons with modifications, conserve ammunition and work as a team to solve advanced plots and progress your character. The gameplay will have an emphasis on storytelling and characters, but feature lots of combat. The Dead Future system has been developed by three experienced table top RPG enthusiasts, including myself. If you've played D&D 3.5, this system will feel quite familiar. I'll help you create a character and pick equipment. The year is 2073, a new era, a reign of unmitigated darkness, has befallen our kind. You've witnessed events that others, in better times, wouldn't believe. Your home planet, family, everything that defined you was altered forever by genetic engineering and overzealous politicians promising a better tomorrow through scientific innovation. Looking down upon the deranged masses from the transport, you understood you were among the privileged few. Whether a scientist or a cyborg, you had the funds and the background to go under the knife and be able to resist the first waves of infections. Your last funds went towards installing the latest WSAS - a revolutionary and experimental augmentation system that evolves with use. Installing it was a requirement for coming along on this mission. For having a chance to be something more, to make a difference. In the last communique you received, the amount of survivors of the plague has now reached an estimated 1% of the worlds population. Some have found a way to survive among the masses; some are holding back the infection with dwindling supplies of medicine. As a last ditch effort to save humanity, you've been sent to Aegrus 257. You're part of a part of a small group of specialists sent into the research center to open a new investigation into the plague's origin. Radio communication from station has been silent for months, as far as you know, there are no survivors. The Nordstern Transport Vessel has brought you to the face of inception, and now, the fate of humanity rests on your shoulders. To apply, you should be: - Focused on the story aspect of role playing. We encourage voice acting and player immersion. - At least 20 years of age. - Sure that you want to play an RPG. - Able to show up to the time given on the main page. Our current time is Saturdays, 16:00, GMT+1. Post the following Information: - Why you want to join. - Your previous experience with RPG. - Your age.
I am interested, unfortunately (or fortunately) I have only a little experience with DnD. If you are willing to put up with a new player send me a PM. As a side note I should mention I have tried other systems I have just had trouble establishing a player base and I myself have only been a player once or twice. Also the story aspect is usually my favourite part of a system, I love creating characters it is just that I rarely get to play them.
Ho'lordie this sounds freakishly awesome. I'd really love to join this. Are there any prerekuisites besides those listed?

Continuing recruitment over Christmas and the new year. Still an open spot here for one experienced player or someone who knows RPGing.
You have a link to the campaign page? I'd very much like to join if able.

Hi! I'll try to be concise in expressing my interest, if there is still an opening. - Why you want to join. Several reasons. One, obviously, is to have fun! I'd be very much interested in investing myself towards an intriguing storyline and immersing myself as a (hopefully) significant character towards its direction. It seems like there's something solid here too that you've got going. Two, is that I'm actually relatively new to the D&D scene of tabletop roleplaying at least. Having the grace of an experienced GM sounds awesome, and especially with something which appears to be heavily modified, my impression tells me there will be a lot of rules to be going over anyways. With that, I'd like to be able to learn more about D&D for my own knowledge and to one day bestow upon others as well. Three... I'd like to see an experienced GM! I GM my own group of friends with our own homemade tabletop game, and am always looking for ways to improve my storytelling and all the general GMing stuff. (That was lengthier than I wanted. Woops.) - Your previous experience with RPG. My own parents are the one who introduced me to the whole RPG scene. So... it's a lot of experience. Either way, I GM my own group of friends, if it goes to demonstrate any kind of experience there. However, I admit unfamiliarity with D&D mechanics specifically, so it would be much appreciated if you could take the time to teach me the necessary basics and quirks. (Did I mention the game I GM for my friends is completely homemade and original?) - Your age. I meet the listed age requirement of 20. EDIT: Oh, in terms of being immersive with voice-acting, it will probably take some warming up on my part to get to know everyone in an OOC sense.
