The moon is cresting, indicative of midnight approaching, and you are weary after a day of travel. Lo and behold, there is a tavern – Helvetica’s Hotel – at the entrance to town. You push the heavy door, and enter a quaint, warmly lit tavern. You request a room from the only worker in there – a beautiful woman, with a charming smile, who introduces herself as Helvetica. You order a mug of ale, and nurse it reflectively at the bar next to another person. Soon, a handful of others also trickle in, and join you and the other person at a table. After a while of conversation, laughter, and the kind of bonding that happens after a few beers, the woman approaches you all meekly, asking if you would like to play a board game. How lonely she gets, living in this hamlet with so few to keep her company. For one reason or another, you all accept, and with a smile she brings out a board game, places it on the table, and invites you to create a player piece and place it on the board. The horror that follows and the nightmares you face cannot be described in mere words. Notes about myself: I have GMed many games of Paranoia in the past, but this will be my first time running a D&D session. I have been playing for a couple of years, so while I am familiar and experienced I am by no means a pro at this, so if I slip up bear with me.
