Hey everyone, I'm looking to DM a game of 5e, specifically the "Storm King's Thunder" adventure module. I'm an experienced 25-year-old DM in the PST time zone but this will be my first game run in Roll20 so I'm looking for a group of players (4/5) who won't mind a little bit of learning on my part. That being said, I've purchased Roll20 pro and the module and have run it on the tabletop with my friends, so I'm confident that I can make it work. If anyone is familiar with the Glass Cannon Podcast, Troy is my idol for a GM. I like to keep things light-hearted and funny, but I try not to hold back and play nice with my players because I think that cheapens the experience. I am not afraid to kill players, but I'll never do it cheaply. I enjoy a balance of good role-playing and combat, and I'll typically adjust the combat:rp ratio based on the interests of group that I'm DMing for. Respect for other players is my number one rule: if you're an ass, you're out. Without spoiling too much, the Storm King's Thunder module is about Giants and the culture that surrounds them. It is an EPIC sandbox module that gives the players a ton of freedom in choosing how they want to go about it. The module spans 1st level to approximately 11th level if played to completion, with the first 5 levels coming pretty quickly (it's literally one chapter in the book). Timewise, I'm very open for the summer (in the Fall I go back to grad school but should still have time in the evenings). I prefer a weeknight (Mon-Thurs) game time preferably after 5pm PST until whenever, but could be open to making that a little bit earlier for the rest of the summer. Let me know if you're interested via post or PM! Thanks!
