New-ish looking for Latenight

Greetings travelers, I am a table top gamer looking to join a DnD game that runs maybe 1 to 2 times a week, that generally starts closer to 8-9pm CDT. I have yet to play the game, but I have lots of dice, lots of MTG experience. I also listen to a DnD podcast, DnD on Twitch, Harmon Quest etc. . the usual new guy stuff. I have a pretty solid understanding of the structure of the game, it would be the character creation stat etc. that I may need assistance with to be sure it is correct. Edition doesn't really matter, just looking to play!
