They are getting answers and offers. There is a 14 year old DM who said, "Hey, I am 14, I read all the rules, I want to run a cool game of heroes in action:" People started answering him. There are people looking for games that are dark horror, or comedy or just to learn how to play. like you are. I am not running D&D 5e this month. I just like to come on here and greet people and say hello, because I am a retired old gamer. I like to help to grow the hobby. Nobody knows anything about you, other than what you type, how you type it, do you use punctuation. Did you specify what rules you are looking for? Okay, 5e. and you live in CDT. That is "All We Know" Other new people here tell people exactly what they are looking for, and put in the effort... and get responses. It is like you are standing in a line at a casting call for a film. There are 20 other actors there. your turn comes up, they say, okay, what can you do, why do you want to be in this movie, in this game... or what kind of a role are you looking for. What do you tell them? Look at the other threads in LFG and see how this works. Running a game can take a little bit of effort, but the best ones take a lot of effort. People running games that take a lot of effort to run are seeking players who put in a lot of work in their application, because in the end, this is all a guessing game where we try and guess from applications to the game, .. and we might get 20 of them a week, or even more. who to hire / bring on board for the 4 or 5 places in the game.
