Could you say what KIND of genre/setting you prefer? If you leave it too open, like the table-discussion mentioned in the rules, you might not get everyone motivated enough for what you all do end up picking. And it may be best for the GM to fix a definite day/time to run the game, something you can definitely live with. The players who can manage that time will follow. Make sure that they can; it is damaging for players to show up late or leave early.
