[A] Yes, other races exist besides humans, they are the result of an evolutionary trait developed as a warning system that human societies are to close to gods. Example: Dwarves are human babies born in proximity to an Earth Primordial. [Q] Are unearthed arcana and feats allowed? [A] Unearthed Arcana is not allowed, feats are. Players looking to create a class not represented in the PHB are more than free to talk to me (the DM) about making something custom. I enjoy creating new classes and subtypes with players, as a note, I require players to create their classes through gameplay, agreeing that you can have a custom class and outlining it is not enough, you must RP and play the game to get to your goal, this applies to custom and normal classes. I look forward to listening to your ideas. [Q] How do you make it fun for players being characters underpowered in a world in which gods actively walk the earth? [A] Players live in a society that has developed in a sudden recess of god activity, the world still bears their mark and they still actively interact with the world and plot in it, but are unlikely to make direct appearances or even directly influence the direction of the game. The world is a fresh an interesting place, ripe for players to play around in and make it their own. In conclusion: I love DMing and playing Dungeons and Dragons, As an avid fan of sandbox games and allowing the players their own choice in their gameplay I would love to DM for you. However I am a big fan on immersion, I enjoy players that make things happen through the game, not by telling me that "This one thing should happen." I do not mind players getting together before games and planning what they want to do on a meta level, I think this is important for game collusion, and I am often open about things that happen in the game.
