***This
game will be a one time dungeon crawl for a group of 4 lvl 11, or 5 lvl
10 PCs (depending on applications) it is going to be run counter to my
regular friday group. You see, that group is a gang of bandits, who have
amassed quite the fortune, and now its time for the law to strike back.
You are that law, you will be forcing your way into their mountain
hideout, to arrest, (or kill) the bandits, and regain their ill gotten
fortune. But this will be no easy task, you see the players themselves,
while not strong enough to face you directly, have designed their
fortress to keep. you. out!
This is not your typical 5e dungeon, it isn't designed by the DM (me)
to be tough, but fair. It was a combination effort of 4 players that
can most kindly be described as a murderhole, and balance was the last
factor considered. My players had to use in character time and resources
to make this dungeon, so its not just packed wall to wall with DC 100
death traps and Terrasques, but be prepared for a challenge. "I check
for traps" and rolling perception will not get the job done here. Come
prepared, your wits are your strongest weapon.
Character's will be 10th to 11th level, All Wizards material is legal
except Volo's monster races.
Players will have a budget of 12,000gp to outfit their characters. Magic
items cost max price by rarity, except consumables, which cost 1/3rd
max. A character may have no more than 3 permanent magic items. Apply
below. Game is planned for 8/5, but it may need to be delayed based on
dungeon construction. Experienced players preferred, people who know how to run a mid level character, that won't need a lot of dm handholding. I'll have my hands full trying to run the script for the dungeon, since its not my creation. Also old school problem solvers who are prepared to contend with a dungeon that isn't trying to be fun, its trying to kill you. The "balance" here is skewed towards my regular weekly players succeeding. I wouldn't rate your chance of making it to the end of the dungeon past 33% Prove me wrong. ;-)
