This is a screenshot of me logged in as a player on two separate browsers seeing through the defined lighting, after this screenshot was taken, a player also logged in from their machine and shared screens with me via skype, the same could be seen from her end.

This is confirmed. It appears that Line of Sight breaks down after about 28 squares. This appears to be the case regardless of browser. I will file a bug report.
