Creating a D&D group as a PC

My question is whether or not it is possible for someone to purchase modules but not be the DM. I would like to play with a group long term but finding and/or joining games is difficult so I am considering starting my own group and buying stuff to be used in the game. Secondary I am wondering if there would even be enough people interested.

If you are the creator, you can use everything you purchase. If you decide not to be the GM then you can always use the rejoin as player button for to re-enter the game as a player (I forget how to do it as a bookmark). The old saying "Build it and they will come" is very true to roll20. Build a game, LFG it, and you will find people asking to join.

Great! I'm tired of sending out applications like I am looking for a job.
The DM would be able to use what I purchase in the game? And could he/she be able to use it in another game like they owned it?

They could use anything you explicitly added to the game in that game and no where else unless they purchased it themselves.

The GM (co-GM if you are the creator) would have access to what is inside the game itself. They would not have access to your library or your purchases such as addons (unless you have them in the game).
Cool I appreciate your help guys. Thanks.
