How do I get the map to reveal what has already been discovered while using dynamic lighting?

1) The players are outside of a small building. Is it possible to reveal all of the space around the building, while only concealing the space inside of the building? 2) The players explore one wing of a large building and then moves on to another wing. Is it possible for the map to reveal the "lay of the land" in the previously explored area? I ask so they do not accidentally waste time re-exploring parts of the dungeon. 3) How can I make it so that vision is more or less unlimited in outdoors areas? For instance, a PC is standing on the wall of a castle and is looking down into a large courtyard. There are some things, such as a keep, that he should not be able to see into. However, there are other things, such as the wall on the opposite side of the courtyard, that he should be able to see. Is this possible. Thank you for any assistance!

I think you can do the following 1: there is a feature called line of site on the map settings and you can set it to be enforced when you have it selected on the token. There is a video showing that somewhere around here. 2: you can just drop a token with the light set up on it when they leave the area. That token will keep the area lit up. 3: I did something like that once before and after I set my dynamic lines up around the area I was blocking I set up tokens that had the light set for everyone to see and it does the same as #2.
Use Fog of War too. For outside encounters us Line Of Sight (LoS) by building Dynamic lighting wall for you buildings.

oops Forgot about the FoW. Good point.
How do I incorporate both Fog of War and Dynamic Lighting so that players can see a new area when they move into it?

I have character sheet with a default token that is transparent, and emits light 360 for 60' seen by all.... I just throw those down for some cases.
How do I make a token transparent?
Easier way is to just copy the token to the dynamic lighting layer. It's invisible to the table but still gives off light.
Oh, that is nice!

Travis B., rather than using a transparent token, any token you put on the Dynamic Lighting layer will not be visible to the players. But if you set it to emit light and check the "all players see light" box, they will see the light it emits. You may have to double click on the token to get into the settings. EDIT: Ah! Ninja'd by Brandon. :)

Lanterns I usually put on the map layer, since my players have the habit of taking them down and using them, or putting them out. Makes it easier for them if they know where the source is.
