Experiencing a lot of lag and frequent disconnect pop ups

I did some searching in the forums and one of the troubleshooting steps prompted me post here, apologizes if I have the wrong forum. When I prep a module or adventure path, I usually try to do the enter in all the information before running the game itself, and in doing so I do accumulate a lot of character sheets. Am I not supposed to that? and is there a way to group archive information, or do i have to archive them each individually? Or do I need to make copies of my campaign for each book? And I would like to know if the Jukebox tracks also effect the lag, is there a limited amount of songs I should keep to? Our group is well on our way through the 2nd book of our adventure path, and the lag and interruptions are becoming more and more frequent. I do use dynamic lighting, a key incentivising feature for me moving and maintaining my Plus account here at Roll20, and would hate to lose it.
I have spoken with a few people having similar issues. You might want to check out this thread for their experiences. https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/5346126/ways-to-... We can log on during a weekday afternoon with no issues, but Friday nights are typically laggy.
thanks for the reply, but the link keeps redirecting me to my home page. whats the name of the thread?

Ways to Get Best Roll 20 experience on peak use times?
ahhh was wondering what was causing the problem Sorry Mike. Do you play at a time that would likely be popular? Say Friday or Saturday evening?
we play on alternating Thursdays and Mondays. I'm cutting down my book 1 character sheets now little by little hoping that will help.
Those don't sound that bad, as a matter of fact we cannot play regularly on Thursdays but did log in to test the system prior to Friday's game and were amazed at the complete lack of lag. How many sheets do you run with?
there's 7 players, but this particular portion of the book introduced a ton of folks that required sheets. 62 in total.
62 is not that many. About what I play with so I am out of ideas, good luck!
oh wow, i thought that was too many. i have a terrific internet connection, but the pop ups and lag from just moving the tokens around or opening handouts/sheets is super frustrating.
My players have told me that if I use lots of detailed maps and have a lot of tokens on the VTT it increases the lag. But just having that many sheets should not do it.
i try to keep everything to one jpg or png, and not use layered elements to the map. it is a fairly large map tho but sparsely populated. Its good to know that the 60+ sheets wont be an issue.
Hi Mike E., Please work through Solving Technical Issues and provide any extra information you can: Step 1: Make sure to use the right browser Please check if these issues persist when using both Chrome and Firefox. Step 2: Ensure that there are no extensions/addons interfering with Roll20 Please disable all add-ons/extensions and anti-virus programs. Step 3: Clear your cache If none of the above succeeds, please have your player thoroughly work through Step 4 . (Don't forget the complete Console Log!) Thank you!
thanks for the links, we are using chrome, but i'll double check the extensions.
