Map access issue with Lost Shrine of Tamochan

Hi Am running LSoT (from the Yawning Portal pack) and a couple of my remote players are having issues accessing the map. For example, she can connect with audio-visual perfectly well, but says the map (even when zoomed in/out) is just black or gray. I got her to reconnect a couple of time, as well as exiting and rejoining the game, and even to the point of restarting her laptop. She can see the map for a short period of time but then it goes "black". Any ideas? Thanks!

It sounds like you have Dynamic Lighting on and she doesn't have a token with sight on that page. If all your players were experiencing this, I'd say Fog of War was on, but that's probably not the case.
Just making sure, does she have a token on the map that has the 'has sight' box checked?
Hey guys... you made me paranoid, so I went and checked! Yes, her character is an Elf so I set vision to 60', -5', 140 degrees to represent her darkvision and she has "has sight" checked for 360 degree vision. I use Dynamic Lighting on the map too.

Is her token on the correct layer?
Yep - Objects and Tokens

If you select her token and click ctrl-L (or cmd-L on mac), can you see more than black?
Just checked - yes, she can see using darkvision and also when there's a torch lit.

Ok... so does that mean the issue is solved?

Oh.. "she" here is the token.

And you've verified that she has control of the character and the token is representing the character?
I have no idea if the issue is resolved yet. Yes, I have a group that play in person and use one Roll20 session here. For ease of use, I have set all the tokens to be "All Players" wrt control and visibility.

This is sounding like an issue with her browser. You might have her try Firefox if she's using Chrome, or Chrome if she's using Firefox. If she's using something completely different, have her try one of those (they are the officially supported browsers). Also, see if you can get a Javascript console log from her. Basically, have her follow these: Could you please carefully work through the first three steps of our guide to Solving Technical Issues ? Step 1: Make sure to use the right browser Please check if these issues persist when using both Chrome and Firefox. Step 2: Ensure that there are no extensions/addons interfering with Roll20 Please disable all add-ons/extensions and anti-virus programs. Step 3: Clear your cache If none of the above succeeds, please thoroughly work through Step 4 . (Don't forget the complete Console Log!)
Could it be because she doesn't have the 'hardware acceleration' set in Chrome?
She says she uses Chrome... She's going to download Firefox and we'll try that early next week. We can make also sure Firefox is "clean" (ie no extensions) too.... Oh, wait a minute... I wonder if it's something as simple as patience? That is, it's a large map and I wonder if she's giving it enough time to load (it takes some time on my link and I have 300Mbps)... I'll check that also! Thanks for the assists guys - I shall report on progress after we test early next week!

You might also verify she can see your pings, and shift ping her to her token. If the map is particularly large, she might just not be able to find it.
OK... Shift Ping? What's that?

With the pointer tool active, hold shift and then click and hold on the map. It will produce a ping (concentric rings radiating out from the point in your current color) and draw the viewpoint of all the players to that location on the map. See: https://wiki.roll20.net/Tabletop_Overview#Pinging_...
AH! Dang! Wish I'd known about that one before! I will try that if the patience approach does not work. Thanks!

I just added it to this thread: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/5473565/share-th... It's hard to think of the things you know in terms of what might be obscure to those that don't know them. =D
