I am looking to fill five slots for an upcoming scifi campaign based in the near future, The playing time is not currently set, I'll be able to host whenever everyone is available. The base rules are 5e, but I've changed certain things you can read for yourself in this google doc. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Bg0NxFcfo7hNXr... Expect an episodic, more movie like experience then an open world RPG. Please make sure to have a microphone, and expect to make some awesome friends! Below is a generalised background on the lore of my universe if you are interested. LORE PRIMER: By the year 2187, Humanity had completely depleted most of the earth's resources. Overpopulated to a staggering degree, cultures and nations entered fearsome wars for survival. Entire cities were carpet bombed to ashes, orbital satellites dropped ICBMs on the capitals of nations, and prominent scientists warned of the immediate end of the world as we knew it. When the fighting was at its most brutal, a small group of world leaders from the countries of the NATO pact met to discuss plans for a mass evacuation. Scrounging together whatever resources they could, these nations gathered together to build a super carrier, meant to carry the best and brightest of humanity away from Earth, and towards a better future. This carrier was called the Final Dawn, and it finished construction in the year 2222. One hundred thousand people were handpicked by their respective governments, and put into cryosleep inside the Final Dawn. With the facility under attack by extremist terrorists, it entered slipstream from inside of the Earth's gravity, causing a massive shockwave that leveled all of Europe, and caused tsunamis, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions on a global scale. Traveling through space under the guidance of an artificial intelligence, the Final Dawn took over three hundred years to find a planet suitable as the new homeland of humanity. This new home was the planet Terra. Unfortunately for those on board the ship, they would soon find that they were not alone. Harrowed by unfamiliar and terrifying creatures, the first pioneers struggled endlessly to build the first cities of Terra. They eventually succeeded, and humanity took its first breath of fresh air in half a millenia. Throughout the next four centuries, the Terrans still struggle to throw off the shackles of warmongering that destroyed the homeland of their ancestors. Several self proclaimed “Lords” used advanced scientific technology to become trans-human, gaining near immortality and strange psionic abilities. Forcing entire cities into servitude, the lords began a new war that lead to the near annihilation of humanity. Living in poverty, with clouds of snow and ash, rumors of a paradise far beyond the horizon spread among the people, and a group of outcasts prepare to embark on a journey to find it.
