Player LFG DnD/WoD/SR/Etc

Tried finding a few games on the LFG finder, but everything is so flooded with applications it's hard to squeeze in, and when I do, it seems like the gm poofs and the game dies before it starts, so I thought i'd try my hand here. Uh, so me, yea, I'm a pretty experienced player, been playing since '07, started with exalted of all things.. moved to DnD.. WoD. SR SW Traveller.. I've played about two dozen systems with as many dice mechanics, and find learning new mechanics one of the funnest parts of playing pen and paper games. Stylewise, i'm.. a bit unique, like I said, I enjoy learning systems, that makes me very very good at minmaxing, but.. I hate minmaxing, comes from starting with exalted, I guess -- a blind monkey can break exalted over it's knee, but the fun comes in finding new, unique ways to be effective, why be the master brawler who can throw buildings like the other 6 players when you can be the master linguist who can create hypnotic war banners to bring armies to their knees? So I tend to crawl into a niche and own it. The party is 6 beatsticks and a wizard? I'll play the party face, or the skill monkey, and while making sure im' capable of handling a fight, most of my feats/skills/charms/whatever will go to skill monkeying, i'll have a tool for every situation in my cloak -- and i'll use it in every chance I can get. (Also comes from exalted, where often punching things just ends in a six hour real-time fight and no appreciable damage done, sometimes if you can't kill the deathlord, you've got to kill the tower, or turn his army against him. Sure, neither of those will kill him, but it'll give you enough time to figure out how to do it yourself. -- Same applies to any situation, use the envrionment and your bag of tricks to help reslove conflict instead of just sword->face) So yea, THAT'S ME, LOOKING FOR A GROUP, CAN PLAY ANY TIME THOUGH PREFERABLY AFTER 9 PM OR BEFORE 6, BECAUSE i WORK THIRD SHIFT, SO LIKE, I HAVE TO BE IN AT 9 (but my job is exceedingly boring and I can easily play while at work, just.. games that start at 7 or 8 will end in me hving to afk for 10 to get to work.) Willing to learn new systems, willing to playing anything, I also don't bite, play well with others, and do my best to round out any party :D
Hi Kyu, What timezone are you in? And what editions of D&D would you be interested in playing?
EST. (GMT-5) -- though as I said, I work third shift, and rarely sleep, so outside of that 7-11 period where I need to be sleeping, and that afforementioned hours, I am free to play any time. As for editions, Any,really .. but i've only played 3.5/4th/next, and Pathfinder (which isn't dnd, but I consider it 3.5.5)
I'm going to be running an old school D&D game (Labyrinth Lord) on Saturdays at 8.00PM (GMT), which should be 3.00PM your time. The game would last for two to three hours. I don't know if that would suit you or not. One thing I would say is that old school D&D is quite different from WotC D&D, but you probably know that anyway.
You mean the mystical wonderland where being an elf is a class and naming your character before level 3 is an exercise in futility? count me in! :D
Lol, something like that. Here's the link: <a href="https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/10875/labyrinth-lord-slash-basic-d-and-d" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/10875/labyrinth-lord-slash-basic-d-and-d</a>
