Okay, as a new user, the setup for my in-person game is pretty basic - just a single laptop using an extended display and hooked up to my TV. I used Roll20 for the first time yesterday to enhance our ongoing campaign, and it worked pretty well, primarily just displaying maps and images of NPCs and monsters. My players don't want to use Roll20 for combat as they want to physically move their pawns around. But I was hoping to better use Roll20 for exploration, revealing portions of an overall map as they progress through an area. I tried creating a dummy account running in a separate tab in the extended window, while I logged into my GM account on my laptop screen. I figured I could use fog of war to move a token representing the party through the map on my GM screen, with the appropriate portions being revealed on the extended screen. As you can probably surmise, it didn't work, as I can't be simultaneously logged into both my GM account and my dummy account. So Plan B simply involves using Draw Shape to conceal portions of the map, and then deleting them as the Party moves into the applicable area. Is there anything that might work better than this? I know this isn't the way Roll20 is supposed to work, so I won't be surprised if there isn't, and yes, I did review the Wiki page on Using Roll20 While Playing In-Person. Thanks in advance for any advice.
