On handouts, there is a Show to Players button. There is also an Edit button, where you can select Show in Players Journals. I find if I click Show to Players, the handout only appears to players if it is also set up to show in their journals. Is this intended behaviour? I was planning to have a bunch of handouts that I only show them as needed, and don't have to be set up as visible to them already, but that doesn't seem to be working.

The Show to Players button, is a convenient "Hey! Read THIS!" function. As far as I know, that is working as intended since you might want to show only certain players a particular handout. Because of this, you need to set the permissions ahead of time.

okay, thanks. It would be handy to combine the Show to Players and Edit --> In Player Journals into a single dialog, so you select which players it gets shown to and adds it to their journal at the same time.
