3.5e DM Looking for new/old/what-have-you players, not a one-shot, Flexible time schedules

I run a 3.5e homebrew campaign, that is a persistent world that continues to function with or without PC interaction, for example, one of the PC's managed to rig an election that was going on so that one of the candidates was more likely to win. Simple stuff like that that alters the outcome of the world itself. I do not wish to ramble, so if there are any questions, I'd be happy to answer them.

Posting interest

What Books are you allowed/disallowed? any classes that are discouraged from being taken? are they're any specific feats that you don't want players to have? and what are you thoughts on item creation? I may have more but these are the ones that popped into my head.

Thank you for asking! I forgot those. Most splat books are open, within my discretion. I do not like min-maxing, power/meta-gaming, etc. I do try to just have fun with DnD, as it is a game. All base classes should be open, once again, within my discretion. Same with feats and item creation is fine, as long as realism is kept in mind.

I try to make sure that fights occur, but if you want to only go passive, I make sure you get EXP for that as well. I try play whenever the characters are available.

Aso11, I read that you dont like min/maxing. Whats your stance on optimization? (Its sounds similar but its oh so different. Min/maxing is getting out the most damage or the most game breaking stuff... Optimization goes around the premise of designing a character based on a certain story/avatar and having a build which incorporates all their abilities/skills/etc while maintaining coherency with other classes (Say Ezio auditore to give a well known example) I was trying to go for something similar (an assassin of sorts.)

That would have to be on a case by case basis. Also, nothing is true.

I would be very interested in joining such a game. Especially one in which RP comes before combat/character power level. Though I doubt you need another at this point, if you have extra space, I would love to participate and you will have an enjoyable RPer. I am open any day except Monday, where I DM my own campaign, and Wednesday, which is my friends campaign. My time zone is GMT-6 or Central US. The only request I have is that you will be willing to allow classes not in core. I am feeling like playing a lazy changeling who uses pact magic from the binder class because they are to lazy to actually develop their own skills and want an easy way to power. Edit: Also, one last qualm. Would you mind letting us take a point buy instead of rolling. I don't like rolling because it leads to random characters. Sometimes the poor fighter gets stuck with nothing above a 12 while a wizard, who doesn't need extra stats, ends up nearly maxed and then the fighter is left doing nothing. Either a 28 point buy (average rolled stats) or a 32 point buy (above average stats) would suffice for me.
