New Player interested in D&D 5E

Hello, My name is Calli, I'm 28, an I am a new player to D&D 5E. I would love to join a group who doesn't mind teaching me the ropes. I love to role-play and love the concept behind D&D. Ideally, I would like to play no earlier than 9pm (mountain time) because of obligations during the day. If you are interested in having me a part of your adventure, please let me know!
Hi Calli, I'm looking to possibly add one or two more players into my Play-by-Email (Pbem) game. It might provide another option to get your feet wet in 5e. I'm running the D&D 5e Starter Set: Lost Mine of Phandelver. The party is currently near the beginning of part 3 of this 4 part campaign. Characters just turned 3rd level, but we can start you at first level if you prefer. You would of course advance faster until you catch up. Most of the players have many years of playing D&D or Pathfinder and would gladly help a new player. We're all new to 5e. Here is a link to my game (a work in progress) blog site: http://www.cabindream.com/cdnet/dm-dnd-pbp/dd-5e-a... It's a much slower game since it's not played in an online session over a few hours, but allows for greater time for roleplaying out your actions. As DM I generally post/email 2-3 times a week from which the players "reply all" with their actions, intents, rolls, and collaborations. I combine all the responses and DM results into the next post/email and the process repeats. If you look at the posts on the blog site, it will give you the flavor and tempo of the game. The game is on roll20.net, but that's primarily used for the map/tabletop with player icons, dice rolls, chat posts if you want, journal data, and character sheets. The blog archives the adventure. The emails allows roleplaying both IC (in character) and OOC (out of character). Ask questions if you have any, DM / james
