Invisible walls

Is there a way to incorporate invisible walls?  Basically I want to make a maze that the characters can see the entrance/exit/torches/each other/etc. but not the walls.  Is there a way to do this without just instructing the players to move or stop and what direction they can feel an opening to?  I would like to try dynamic lighting for this, but if i can I have no clue how to get it to work.

Hi. I don't know if I understand you correctly, but if you use Dynamic Lightning to just show a small part, there inevitably are walls: the part where your Dynamic Lightning borders are. Or do you want to have a great map without any Dynamic Lightning borders (like a massive cave)? In that case you could just "paint" the walls on the map layer. The players would see the maze's structure but the light would emit everywhere. Cheers

It would be (potentially) resource intensive but you could have player controlled but invisible light sources covering all angles of a DL drawn maze. Give those tokens sight, and have global illumination enabled and the players should  be able to see the whole map without shadows defining the 'maze' but would still be restricted by the walls as normal. Your biggest issue is players accidentally moving the light sources since they need to be on the token layer (i also add a small (0.1) aura to them ensuring to untick both 'view' boxes in the advanced settings so that the GM can see them but the players can't!). DL View: GM View: Player View:
Ahhh, Ziechael is probably on the right track - the light sources can be put on the map layer and still seen by the players, so they wouldnt move them that way.

In my example the invisible lights don't emit light, merely have sight to take advantage of the global illumination... that being said, in my testing I just realised that you could simply turn off 'force line of sight' and leave 'restrict movement' on to have invisible walls (you'd still want global illumination on to stop shadows though)... I always forget about that!
