When designing the map for an encounter, I placed a 1x1 inch grass tile on the grid and used the orange box to copy the texture across several areas of the map. I was using a hexagonal grid, so the Roll20 client tried to trim the edges of each grass tile to fit its hexagon. This worked well enough on small areas (5x5 hexes or smaller), but anything larger than that took several seconds to process. Additionally, one or more lines in the middle of the designated area would consistently be left blank, leaving bands of texture about 5 lines high separated by single blank lines.
