Help with Kingmaker, heading to kingdom building part

Hi, im running Kingmaker, im not that experienced DM. i was looking for advice running the Kingdom building part. We are heading towards the end of chapter 1, and im starting to prepare 2nd module were kingdom building is introduced. I have heard several things about it, i was planning on running it not so strict to the rules, but i dont want my players to be able to abuse it and become too powerfull. any advice?

Cool looking but I can't help you since I don't play pathfinder. Good luck.

Jaime , what specific abuses are you looking to avoid? For the most part the kingdom is separate from the players. It is almost a mini-game in its own right. We use the Ultimate Campaign kingdom rules since they are a bit more fleshed out without going overboard. If you do not have the book you can find those rules here: http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/ultimateCampaign/kingdomsAndWar.html Additionally, if you want to check out the set up my group has send me a PM and I can show you.
well i have heard that the building thing can become boring, so was looking to make it so that the pc's would'nt feel obligated to return to their home city every week in a month; and detract from going adventuring far away. but dont know if by not making them go to the city i will be given them too much of an advantage.

A) they don't need to go to the home city. Only a hex in the kingdom. That is similar to how (in history) there was a "King's Progress" where the king traveled around his kingdom over the course of months (if not years) without heading to what passed for his capitol. B) It can be pretty boring regardless. The best way I have found to handle it is to deal with it out of session. As I said, let me know if you want to see the setup we came up with.
yes if i can, it would be helpfull just because i havent seen it run yet, so seeing an example would help me greatly...
