Gladiator Fights

As I said in game, as some point in the future the group will have a chance, in character, to watch and bet on a Gladiator fight.  So I would like everyone (my self included) to make up a character for  Performance combat so we can do a 3 on 3 battle for fun.  The character should be 12th level.  You can use a monstrous race, but if you do the monsters CR and the their character levels cannot exceed a total of 12.  Example: Race Oni, Ogre Mage (CR9) can have a most 3 character levels.  12-9(cr) = 3 If you have any question about this, please post them here. :)
What are the rules for using powerful races such as those without any CR adjustment out of the ARG? What are we doing to generate stats? Still doing a 20 point buy?

Sorry but if a monster does not have a CR or listed level adjustment(powerful player races based on the rp cost have level adjustments) then I am not going to allow it.  25 point buy :)

High RP cost just is generally a thing races have and aren't level-adjusted for it. If there are rules I'm curious to learn them because I like learning things I don't know.  This is not to say I'm thinking about making one, I'm just checking how much lateral movement or options I have to play around with. Another question would be are crafting feats allowed to be taken and if so what is the GP value of magic items you're allowing to be crafted, if at all. Is gold piece value standard for a PC at level 12 i.e. 108,000 gp. ? Further are there limits on the maximum value of a specific value to the items we can buy/own? Which further ties into the above question.
After doing some more reading. You are correct I was confusing 3.5 and pathfinder on the level adjust.   So that being said, I am not going to allow any race with more than 20 RP unless it is an actual monster that has a CR.   No to Crafting items Yes to full gear value for a 12th level PC (108,000) and no maximum gold value.  If you want to buy 1 item worth 108,000 gold, you can. :)
If we pick a monstrous race, do we use the standard stat block for Str, Dex, etc?

Tom L. said: If we pick a monstrous race, do we use the standard stat block for Str, Dex, etc? Yes, ....  I am going to call that part of the bonus/price of playing a monstrous race. :D
Danny the GM. Teaming up on builds.   Even all 3 on each team can work together to make a performance combat team where all 3 characters pair and work as a unit.  Danny the Player. If you are my team I have 2 ideas for support characters which natural work best in a team. :D
For any character levels, Same as in game.  Roll but if you get less than 1/2 then you instead get 1/2 max. so, I thought of a question. without getting too specific, can we know what sort of combat this will be? Something like a knockout fight is probably going to attract a different sort than a fight to the death sort of deal, at least to my way of seeing it. If this is giving away too much, I understand. I mostly ask because I've had like six different ideas in my head and being able to narrow it down a little so I can focus might be helpful! ^_^;;

I am still deciding exactly which of the  performance combat type we will be using.  It will not be a fight to the death.  Most likely it will be "Knockout Bout" or "To a Number of Wounds".  I will let you know when I make the final decishion. :)
