RollPlay Solum Week 1 Part 1 - The Dramatic Return

I don't know the whole story, only whats on JPs subreddit, basically JP got in a huff because Geoff was a bit of a prick to Gen in character. ANNND it all exploded from there. I only got to see the first 15minutes or so as I caught it while eating breakfast before work, would anyone happen to have downloaded the video and have time to share, It's been taken off of youtube at some point during my 8-4 shift =(
Saw the show and thought instantly that something like this would happen. A real shame though. And I kinda would have to say that even though it is JP's show, I don't agree with the decision here.
You don't get to be a jerk then hide behind your character and say it was roleplaying.

However, since I didn't see most of the episode, I can't make a call on whether this was what Geoff was doing, Roll Playing or using his character as an excuse to be a prick, HOWEVER seeing as they've gone through 39 Weeks together with Geoff not being a prick, I'm kinda leaning toward Geoff being bad at roll playing.
Honestly I felt that Geoff has been attacking Gen/Abigail via Vincent as well, belittling her roleplaying and when she tried to add stuff to the group with her ideas. So... honestly this really should have been dealt with earlier, just a calm talk between the parties and clear the air, otherwise it builds up to situations like this one and no one is happy with that. As for him roleplaying his character? A character can be "violent and mean" and still not attack or disparage other -people- in their party - JP imo accomplished this beautifully with his mean characters. In any case, I honestly can't judge, two sides to every story and I haven't seen this.

You can play a character like that and still not offend other players. And if you offend, you apologize right away and you offer to make amends. You don't say oh that's just my character. That's dodging the issue and not very mature.
Well it's all okay now: <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKDtPFq5bh8" rel="nofollow">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKDtPFq5bh8</a>
